      Sofia pov.

I finished making breakfast for the pack and slipped back to my room, avoiding the morning chaos. I've learned to move quietly, avoiding unwanted attention from the other members of the pack. Being seen is a luxury I can't afford, especially not with Vanessa around.

I'm getting dressed, careful not to disturb the bandages on my wounds. The painkillers helped, thanks to the park doctor. I'm grateful that Luna intervened yesterday, when  Vanessa and her friends were about to kill me.

Luna Elena is finally back from her business trip in the human world, and things will get a bit  easier. She's always looked out for me, making sure I eat and dress  okay. She's given me nice clothes and even the  phone I’m currently using. The alpha's busy, but he's a good person too. Sometimes he tries to help, but my father's stubbornness gets in the way.

I've noticed something strange about my dad. Whenever the Alpha's command is directed at him, it doesn't seem to work. I've caught snippets of arguments between him and the Alpha, usually about me, when I've gone to clean the Alpha's office. The Alpha tries to assert dominance, but his commands have no effect on my dad.

No pack member has noticed that the Alpha's command doesn't work on him. I'm not sure what it means. It's as if my dad is somehow immune to the Alpha's authority. I've been wondering why this is the case, and it's got me curious.

I finished dressing, covering up my wounds. I grabbed my packed lunch and headed downstairs. I was about to slip out of the pack house when Luna called out, Sofia, how are you feeling today? Hope the wounds are healing well?"

I responded with a soft smile, "Yes, Luna, they're healing well. The pack doctor gave me some pain relief to help with the pain."

The Lunar's warm smile reassured me. "Well, you don't need to bother with dinner today. The other omegas will handle that. Just focus on getting your strength back and healing well for your birthday. You need your strength to shift into your wolf, you know right?"

I nodded, "Yes, Luna, I'm aware of that."

She asked, her voice gentle, "Did you pack lunch?"

I nodded again, "Yes, I did."

It was a bittersweet truth. I only got to eat well and pack lunch when Luna was around, and I couldn't help but hope she'd stay longer. With a soft goodbye, I slipped out of the pack house and headed to school.

"I walked into the school compound, keeping my head down, trying to avoid the usual drama. Vanessa and her crew were already  inon the prowl, but I dodged them, making a beeline for my locker. As I swapped out my books, Lily appeared beside me. 'Hey, Sofia, how was your weekend?'

I grimaced. the usual please don't even remind me.' She spotted the bandage on my neck and her eyes narrowed. 'What happened?'

I hesitated, but she was my partner in crime. 'My sister Vanessa happened, luckily, Luna intervened.'

Lily’s expression turned sympathetic. 'Sorry, Sof.'

We headed to class, sitting at the back, trying to blend in. Our history lesson was a blur, but the bell ringing signaled our reprieve. Physics class was next. As we walked, a group of bullies blocked our path. 'Hey, freaks, where are you going?'

Lily stood tall, 'Back off, jackass. Leave us alone.'

Matthew, the captain of the baseball team, pushed us. 'You think you're smart, huh? You'll never amount to anything. Omegas, stuck in the pack, forever as  sleeves.'

Lily's eyes flashed, but I grabbed her arm, pulling her away. We walked in silencing to class,  i can’t wait for high school to finish.

We wrapped up our morning classes and headed to the cafeteria, the scent of food and chatter filling the air Lily, chatting about her weekends. She was bubbling with excitement, telling me about her brothers'  taking her on a picnic on their park grounds. As the youngest and only girl, she was used to being spoiled rotten. Her family's love was palpable, and it was clear she was cherished. Her pack is also really good, the silver moon pack.

As we walked, I told her to grab a seat without me. "I'll meet you there, need to use the restroom," I said, and she nodded, continuing on.

I slipped into the restroom and took care of business. As I washed my hands, the door swung open, and Vanessa strode in, her minions closing in. Our eyes met in the mirror, and my heart sank. 'Great, just what I needed,' I muttered.

Vanessa sneered, her voice dripping with disdain. 'Well, well, if it isn't my pathetic omega sister.' I turned, trying to keep calm. 'Vanessa, what do you want? I don't want trouble.'

She prowled closer, her smile twisted. 'You think you're special now, huh?

As I struggled to break free, Vanessa's grip tightened, her eyes blazing with anger. "You think the Luna’s protection makes you invincible?" she spat, her voice full of hate. "You're still going to pay for the dress you ruined, it  was  a gift from Damian, my boyfriend and future Alpha of this pack.

Her words hurt, and I couldn't help but think about Damian. He stood by and watched Vanessa bully me, doing nothing to stop her. I wondered how someone so mean could be the son of the kind Luna.

"No matter how much the Luna shields you, you'll never escape me," Vanessa sneered, her smile twisted and cruel. "I'm going to be the future  Luna, because Damian's has promised me. And when that happens, I will make your life a living hell in this pack.

She slapped me hard, her rings cutting into my skin. Her friends held me down as she hit me again and again. The world around me blurred, and I felt like I was going to faint.

I managed to struggle free, but Vanessa yanked me back, slamming my head against the sink. The room spun, and I felt blood trickling down my face.

As I looked up, Vanessa's face loomed, her eyes cold and hard. "You're just a weak omega, and your wolf will be just as weak," she sneered. "I'm doing our parents a favor, taking you down."

The door opened, and Matthew, the school bully, stepped in, holding a baseball bat. My heart sank as he approached.

Vanessa's voice was a distant echo, "Finish her.

I closed my eyes, bracing for impact. The bat swung down, and I was too weak to move. But then, the bathroom door burst open, and a fierce growl filled the air. The bat froze in mid-air, and I saw Damian standing by the door, his eyes blazing. I tried to speak, but everything went dark. The last thing I heard was his voice, shouting my name...

My eye color was brighter, a mix of green and blue that looked beautiful but weird compared to my usual blue eyes. My cheekbones were more defined, and my lips fuller. My thick brown hair now had stripes of white in it, and I said to Albaz,“What exactly is going on? Why do I look like this?” She said to me, “Now that you have me, your looks are more defined. Those new features in your eyes and hair are a glimpse of me. When you’re in wolf form, our eyes are green, and our fur is white. The stripes of white hair indicate our white fur, and the green in your eyes shows our green eyes.” I stood there, staring at my reflection, trying to process all the changes, feeling a mix of shock. I felt and looked really beautiful. After I finished my shower, I wrapped the towel tightly around me and stepped out of the bathroom, making my way to the walk-in closet. As I opened the door, the lights flickered on automatically, and I was immediately struck by the sheer luxury of the space. The

Sofia pov: I looked at him, breathed in, closed my eyes, and when I opened them, the tears finally broke free, spilling down my cheeks as I sobbed, “Why? Why do you want me as your mate? Why do you want us to stay mated after everything after the pain, after you let her hurt me, after she abused me, after all the things she said? Why didn’t you do anything? Why did you just stand there with that look of indifference? Why didn’t you stop her? Why didn’t you stand up for me? And now you say I’m yours how can I be yours when you never once protected me? Just because I ended up mated to you doesn’t mean I want to stay mated, Damian. I don’t want to be your mate, this time.” I was crying full out, my voice raw, punching his chest, pushing him away. He stood there, eyes dark with sorrow, a broken look etched on his face. “Calm down, please,” he whispered, voice trembling. “I’ll make everything right. I promise those who hurt you will pay. I already have Vanessa locked up.” A bit

Sofia pov: I opened my eyes slowly, the sun spilling through the parted curtains, its light painting the room in gold. My body felt oddly refreshed, and a strange, new energy thrummed beneath my skin. I reached out, checking on my wolf to make sure it was all real, not just a dream. A gentle laugh echoed in my mind. Relax, Sofia. I’m still here, I’m not going anywhere. I’m your wolf, and I’m part of you forever. “Thanks, Albaz,” I whispered, a smile tugging at my lips. “It’s nice not being alone.” I shifted, feeling the plush mattress beneath me softer than my own bed. My heart thumped with surprise as I sat up, eyes scanning the space. The room was luxurious, high‑ceilinged, and unmistakably, Damian’s. I recognized the sleek furniture, the dark wood, the faint scent of his cologne lingering in the air. I’d cleaned this room countless times; I knew every corner. Why am I in his room? I panicked, my mind racing. Clam down, Albaz’s voice soothed, he brought us here. Before

A warm hand patted my back. I looked up, confused by the face staring at me. Before I could speak, a sharp, searing pain shot up my spine. I gasped, Albaz , why is Damian here? Am I imagining things?” Albaz answered, firm and clear, “You’re not imagining it. Damian is here. I’ll explain later, but right now we need to shift.” Immediately, the shift started. I felt my body begin to transform, my bones cracking and shifting, muscles rippling and changing. Damian kept patting my back, whispering sweet words into my ear. “It’s okay, baby, you can do it. It’s almost over—just don’t fight it. Give your wolf full control and it will end soon. I’m here, I’ll try to take away the pain as much as I can. Just breathe.” The moment his hand touched me, a wave of calm washed over me, even as confusion swirled—why was he being so gentle with me? I hoped Vanessa wouldn’t kill me this time. Then the pain surged again, sharp and relentless. My senses heightened

Sofia/ Albaz pov: He held my hand and replied, “I will make everything right for you. It wasn’t what it seemed four hundred years ago, it wasn’t my fault. This time, Damian and I tried to stop everything Sofia went through, but it wasn’t easy. We will make everything right. I will be the best mate I couldn’t be to you years ago. I will make sure Damian doesn't hurt Sofia. Trust me, Damian is not like my last human, selfish and wicked Damian is different. Believe me. I stared at him, eyes hard, and said, “It’s gonna take time for me to trust you and your human. As for Sofia, I’m not sure she’ll ever make it easy for Damian after everything that’s happened. You and Damian just stood there and watched Vanessa hurt her—so it’s gonna be a long road before she comes around. You both need to be patient, no matter how long it takes. Storm nodded, his expression softening. “I understand. I’ll give you that time.” He turned his gaze to Josh and Mark, voice low but firm. “Go back to the pac

The Moon Goddess petted me and said, "It's time for you, Albaz, to merge with Sofia and be one with her. You need to go and take full control of her body and heal it. The Moon Goddess told Sofia, "You are going to have a mate, a very powerful mate who is going to love and support you. Your mating process is not going to be easy. There are going to be complications, temptations, and trials, but it's left for you to trust the mate bond. I do not make mistakes in my pairing. Sofia looked at the Moon Goddess and asked, "Who exactly is going to be my mate? Is he an alpha?" The Moon Goddess looked at her and said, "Yes, the mate is going to be an alpha. Sofia asked, "Is my mate from another pack? Is he an alpha from another pack?" The Moon Goddess said, "When you wake up you will find out. But I want you to know one thing: give him a chance before you reject him. Don't just reject him because of what has happened. Give him a chance, get to know him, get to hear him out.
