Willa's POV
"No!!!"
I jerked up at the horror of taking the Alpha's blood in the dads-moms way, only to find myself in my own bed with the cover over me. I couldn't even feel any pain on my side when it was so real a moment ago! It was like all that happened was only a horrible nightmare!
I fell back down into my pillow with a smile.
This was so great! Only a dream!! Why would I even dream of doing such a thing with the Alpha though?!
"You are awake." A cold voice rose beside me and I shot my eyes open in utter horror.
I peeked sideway at the corners of my eyes, and then froze right where I was. There he was, the REAL cold Alpha, sitting in a chair beside my bed with his arms folded.
"Am I still dreaming?" I murmured, hoping for a confirmed answer.
The Alpha frowned.
Nope, this was the real one.
So it all happened?! Rachel really hurt me and was going to rip off my cloth? The Alpha really saved me?--
So I really drank his blood?! In the dads-moms way?!
I jerked up again, sitting in bed with that horrifying thought.
"What's a dads-moms way?" The Alpha asked.
What?!
I turned my head to face him, stiff like a puppet because I was so shocked: "You said you can't read minds!"
Alpha Kirsch laughed lightly with a sigh.
"You muttered that before you blacked out." The Alpha said, still with his arms folded.
Ohh.
"Did you give me your blood?" I asked, feeling my heart pounding fast again. Please no! It felt like I was somehow cheating on Al. What the hell was I even thinking?! Al had a mate, and he was gone!
But it just felt so special that I wouldn't want to do that with anyone else, especially the cold Alpha who hated me!
"Of course I did, did you want me to lick you?" The Alpha rose his eyebrow in surprise.
"No..." I muttered. I wouldn't want that either. Both of these healing methods felt so intimate! Why couldn't werewolves have some normal healing way?!
Still, I feel a little resentment toward the Alpha for doing such an intimate thing when he hated me. It was like a boy you hated kissed you, and then say he only did that because he was forced.
"Scarlett said it was the way dads heal moms..." I muttered.
He frowned a bit before he leaned forward, looking at me: "So you would rather to have me lick you?"
"Taking me to a hospital would be nice..." I murmured to myself, but I knew he could hear me.
His body froze, but then he sighed and leaned back into the chair again.
"Who's Al?" The Alpha asked.
I shot my head up again.
"What?" I asked in a horrified look.
"You muttered this name a lot when you were out." The Alpha squinted his eyes at me, and that made him look almost angry now.
"I don't talk in my sleep." I denied it immediately.
I had to keep so many secrets in my whole life, I would never talk in my sleep!
"You were unconscious, it's different from sleeping." The Alpha sighed yet again, "So, who's Al?"
"A friend," I muttered an answer mildly with genuine eyes.
He nodded and looked away.
I had to behave around Alphas, exactly because I COULD disobey them. It was the most scary taboo for a pack member to resist Alpha Aura.
Only the cursed ones, the insanes one could.
Though I tried to hide it from the alphas in the past, I still could explain it if it happened. They wouldn't be too happy about it, but sometimes they would allow us to stay.
But not with Alpha Kirsch.
He didn't know about the poison and therefore I had no excuse. It was like I was blind, but I had to walk normally to convince people otherwise.
I had to be extra careful around him and respectful all the time so that he wouldn't find out my secret and slash open my throat.
It was usually best to obey everything they say than try to differentiate which words were commands given in the Alpha Aura.
All that was in my way, was that I wasn't born to follow orders.
I was born to be the trouble maker.
I was so tired that I passed out again, I didn't even ask the Alpha to leave my room. When I woke up again, the sun was already up, shining on my bed.
But I couldn't cheer up.
Al was gone.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before I got out of the bed, watching the clear blue sky outside of my---
Holy molly! I jumped backward in shock, scanning around--
This wasn't my room!
The first clue was that instead of a wall, there was now a glass door on the side of the foot of the bed. I dashed out of the glass door to the balcony and stuck my head out, only to realize I was in a three-story modern house!
I dashed out of the bedroom, I slept on the second floor. A staircases led to the landing I stood on, which overlooked a huge living room. The living room was still open all the way up, but instead of level to my bedroom, it was now opened to the third floor, and right under the staircase outside my room, was a HUGE sofa with a fireplace in front of it.
I was again in the fancy guest room!
It looked like the sofa was not for humans but for wolves to grovel on, huge wolves no less.
"You are up."
I snapped my head at the voice, only to find the cold Alpha sitting by the side of the dining table with a book in his hand.
It was a brand new table now. Natasha broke the last one.
I blinked in shock. Was he going to send me away?!
"How are you feeling?" The Alpha glanced up at me again, "Did you need help showering?"
I looked down, only to realize I was covered in mud. I was still in the dirty cloth I wore when I was hurt. I was grateful that the Alpha didn't try to take off my dirty shirt.
Although it would NICER if he didn't make me drink his blood!
"No!" I shouted before I dashed back into the room I woke up in. There was a set of cloth prepared and folded on the foot of the king-sized bed. I just didn't notice when I was preoccupied with where I was kidnapped to!
But I WAS filthy.
I grabbed the cloth and dashed into the shower before I locked the bedroom door, though I doubted it would really do me any good if the Alpha wanted to get in.
After almost an hour, I finally left the shower in satisfaction and got downstairs again. The Alpha was still where he was an hour ago, reading--
"Is that my notebook?!" I even forgot to keep rubbing my wet hair with the towel in my hand.
The Alpha glanced at me with a weird look before he nodded.
"Are you banishing me?" I murmured, hearing the shiver in my own voice. I guess it was the best way out of this pack. Without Al, I didn't felt like staying anyways.
"Why would you think that?" The Alpha frowned at me.
"Then why did you take me back to the guest house?" I blinked in confusion.
The Alpha paused for a second before he burst into laughter. Finally, when he had his laugh he leaned back on his chair and looked at me--
"This is my house."
Willa's POV I darted my eyes at the seat in front of me, and then I darted them back at the Alpha. "What?" He asked with a shrug. "Why am I at your house?" I asked, trying to suppress my impatience. I couldn't afford to shout at the Alpha...I repeated in my mind as I forced a smile. "You were injured, so..." He shrug again. How was that even a logical answer?! I got a house! Though it was also technique his, but... "I want to go home." "This IS your home, from now on." "This is YOUR home. You gave me a home, a week ago." I frowned. How was I supposed to hide my one million secrets from the Alpha when I live IN his house?! "Exactly, now I'm giving you this one." He grinned at me. He grinned at me! Something was wrong with him. Either that was Rudy, or he won the lottery. But it wasn't Rudy because his eyes didn't flicker. The Alpha stared at me, and I stared at him-- "Please don't
Willa's POV Al and Alpha Kirsch sat at the two ends of the dining table, and I sat on the first seat on Al's right-hand side. I never paid too much attention to food, but Al's cooking really blew my mind. I couldn't stop myself from getting more pancakes and making different combinations under Al's suggestion. Though it was such a waste to Kirsch because he just put everything together and piled a pancake mountain on his plate. "It's Sunday, where are you gonna work on a Sunday?" I turned to Kirsch after I bit the tip of a huge strawberry. "To the whorehouse, maybe?" Al teased as he leaned toward me. I pressed my lips to hold back the laugh, glancing at the cold Alpha in a sneaky way in case I met his eyes. Al took that chance and bit on the other half of the strawberry in my hand! Sneaky! "I'm not the one drowning in alcohol and women." Kirsch narrowed his eyes at Al, who grinned with mischief. "Really?!" I exclaimed, eyes fix
Taran's POV Searing pain exploded in my chest when Willa said she would rather go to a hospital than let me heal her. I knew it was stupid to feel hurt over such a thing, but the pain of rejection was real. At that moment, I could barely control myself to act normal, let alone smile. I used my arm with great force to inflict pain, that was the only way to cast away the pain in my chest, just by a little. Kirsch stood up to clean the table after breakfast. Kirsch always cleaned when I cook for him. He was a disaster at cooking. I wanted to talk to Willa with this chance but she just grabbed the empty plates out of Kirsch's hand, dodging my eyes: "I'll do it." She was trying to avoid me. Kirsch didn't insist. Instead, he turned to me: "Can we talk?" Though we knew Willa doesn't have a wolf, we still left the house in case she could hear us. We both knew the topic we had in mind was not "Willa-friendly". "She's your mate, isn't sh
Kirsch's POV I should have known that Willa was Taran's mate. I should have noticed a long time ago. I didn't think of it because I was so focused on my feelings toward Willa. There were so many signs. He "attacked" them only to flee himself; He got upset at me joking about Nat being his mate for the very first time; he got grumpy when he thought I might have seen Willa change. I should have known. I didn't think it that way because I didn't thought Crebreus was able to love. He was cold to everyone. He had no friend. He was mad. But Cerberus changed, after he met Willa. He even came out to talk to her this morning in the kitchen. He never came out to "talk", the only times he came out was to punish and rule when Taran was still the Alpha. That was why Rudy was confused about Willa! I only felt the similar pull to Willa, but not as strong at to Taran because I marked him by mistake, and b
Willa's POV I thought Alpha Kirsch went out with Al, but Al came back before I could even finish washing the dishes. "Let me help?" Al reached for the plate in my hand, his finger long and straight. I stared his hand into reaching mine. "It's fine, you are injured." I dodged his fingers and put the plate on the stand. Al paused for a second. It felt like he wanted to take my wrist, but in the end, he just put down his hand with a sad smile. "I'm going out, will be back in a couple of hours." Al put his hand behind his back as he leaned on the kitchen's entrance, "You will be alright for a few hours by yourself?" "Of course!" "There is a pool on the balcony on the third floor, feel free to enjoy." "Thanks." I finished all the dishes before I dared to look up, and to my relief, Al was gone. I wasn't really good at keeping friends, let alone a friend that I had a crush on who also had a mate. I was grateful to be l
Willa's POV I reached for the glass in front of me, but Al pulled it away. "You are underage." He said simply. "Well, it's a bar. The fun IS liquor!" I frowned, reaching out for the glass again. Al grabbed my wrist, stopping me with a chuckle. "You asked my idea of fun, I didn't say it was for all ages!" Al rolled his eyes. "Well, are you having fun then?" I narrowed my eyes with a deadpan. His facial expression when he drank wasn't exactly saying fun. "The meaning of liquor is not 'fun'." Al air quoted at me, and that left the glass unguarded! I stole the glass from him and he reached over to get it back. Nice try. I turned around and took the glass into my arms with my back facing Al. He chuckled at my "defense" when he nearly grabbed my arm instead, but he didn't touch me. "Just a sip!" I looked at Al over my shoulder, protecting my trophy as I pleaded. "It's against the law." Al looked down at me, hi
Willa's POV "Are you sure about this? Last chance to back out." Al asked me in the pitch-black room, taking my hand into his. "I think I am. I wanted it in the first place." I nodded in a serious tone. "You will regret it." Al sighed, worrying about my decision as he took me into his arms. "I never regret anything." I tip-toed and pecked him on the apple of his throat. He chuckled. Light suddenly burst out in the room, and the horror movie started. The movie was alright. A few jump scare scenes, a few death in a bloody way, nothing too fancy. People screamed a few times, but that was that. "You alright?" Al bent his head at me, draping his arm on my shoulder with a smirk. He was too tall for me to do the same. "Of course! So a man she knew came to her house, only to be found later that he was the real killer that had been after her, big deal." I rolled my eyes, feeling a bit lightheaded after the drink. Maybe th
Willa's POV "Willa, is everything alright?" Al waited to ask after our mind link was over. But I felt cold all of a sudden though Al was around me. Dark cloud. I felt a dark cloud over my head. "It was Alpha Kirsch." I turned to Al, frowning and hesitating. Alpha Kirsch obviously didn't want Al to worry, so I didn't want to tell Al my worry. But what if he was in trouble? He sounded off, and I just couldn't put my mind to ease. Al's eyes fixed on mine, as if he could look into my soul. He didn't ask any more questions, but just closed his eyes, only this time he opened them soon. "What did he say?" Al asked, calm as usual. It calmed me. "He said to tell you that, 'everything will be fine'." I frowned, staring at Al, trying to understand his expression. I didn't know what that means, but it was obvious that Al did. "I see." Al nodded, but he didn't look relieved, instead there was now confusion and worry on his face as w
