Chapter 2 – I DO NOT WANT TO DIE HERE IN THE FOREST.

Dexter takes a shelter in the trunk of a big tree, the whole night. It is very scarry, there are different sound coming from the forest. Dexter cannot see anything. He readies his gun to fire in anything that may pose danger to him. The forest is tricky and no one knows what things or animals may put his life in danger. But he is fighting something that he cannot see and subdue, it is the terrible freezing cold in the forest. Something he is not prepare to combat with. He has not able to have complete rest that night, he is always in watch, observing his surrounding constantly. He makes his sight and hearing keen the whole night. It is the only thing that can make him safe, he is alone.

  When the sun start shining in the east, he jumps down and look for any food, he can see around. When he cannot see wild fruits, he decided to shot any game animal he may see. He is hungry ang getting weak little by little. The night cold has done something wrong with him. He thought he has a fever.

                He sees a big bird on the top of tree, he takes an aim with it shot it.

                The bird falls down on the ground, he gets it, and clean it.

                He lit a fire and cook the bird on fire. The fire also helps him fight the cold.

After eating, he walks and try to figure out his way out in the forest. The sun is shining hot and makes him perspire so much, last night he chills in the freezing cold, this time he feels he almost inside the oven. He has no more water and food, the worst of it, his eyesight is failing, even when he stops, he sees the thing are moving, he can no longer shot, any game animal, even birds. He is sure this time he has fever. He is chilling. He feels the claws of danger is coming to him

                He turns on his radio transceiver once more, but there is no one who can receive his distress call, he hopes, his friends come back and look for him, search for him, but that is hope against time. He is losing his strength fast, in the middle of the day, he wonders, why he can see stars on the sky.

                He tries to walk but he feels he will fall; he holds on the branches of the trees and shrubs to make him remain standing. In the back of his mind, he prays, that he will not meet his death on this place. He has so many dreams in life, he is too young to die.

                He prays hard.

                Please God help me.

                Please save me.

Dexter can no longer remain standing, he kneels down in the ground, then after a while his hands touch the ground, he is totally helpless, he feels dizzy, he does not want to lie down on the ground, as long as he can.

                He crawls on the ground, he wants to shelter himself in a shade of a tree, but he is losing strength. He wonders why it is suddenly getting dark at the middle of the day, darker and darker.   He knows nothing afterwards. He falls in a deep sleep.
