It was in situations like this that nighttime seemed to pass by fast. In a blink of an eye, the sun was up and blazing screaming for Maria to get off her bed and do something that matters. The elevator rise came with a stinging silence—harsh, painful, and loud enough to make Maria cling to the other end of it like she would burn if she took another step closer to where Harry was.
