The house was an empty space, living room bare of the usual couches and furniture aside from the curtains.

The sun was out, against the shade.

But where was everyone? This time, I

held Treasure in my arms as I walked.

A growl stopped me in my tracks. I held still, the ever present memory of what was to happen next.

It was the wolf. The shadow. Red eyes gleamed towards me, threateningly.

It took a step closer, followed by another, but when I was about to step into the light…

I woke up.

It had been like that for days. What had started out as a nightmare in what seemed to be a long time ago had become a recurrent set of dreams which always stopped at some point. They began to occur more frequently than before, leaving me trapped in a vertigo of questions.

Why was I having this dream? Why were the dreams plaguing me more than ever?

A shriek from Treasure brought me out of my thoughts. Alarm bells began ringing in my head. I turned towar
