Chapter 51

When Stella woke up, she felt the pain all over her body. The light was dim and she felt scared until she saw doctor Akira’s face.

“Finally, you’re awake before they can come to visit.” The relief in doctor Akira’s voice was telling her something.

“Why?” she softly asked. That’s when she finally processed what has happened to her last night. Tears immediately found their way to roll down on her pillow. “Is my b-baby okay?”

“That is exactly why I waited for you to wake up.” Stella was scared to hear the possible news that her baby was gone. “The baby is alright, thankfully.”

It made her cry, sobbing softly. Since it would still hurt her to move, doctor Akira wiped her tears for her.
