Eve’s POV

If anyone had told me years back that I would be here with my child

I would have called them liars

Hearing Morwenna yell at Malik over his kindness towards me was the slap of reality I needed to jump out of whatever world of fantasy I was starting to build in my head

My focus should only be on my son, love was the last thing on my vision board.

After leaving Malik, I had returned to the bathroom to freshen up, the mirror glistened with steam as I let my hair loose, combing through it carefully as I thought about the events that had played out today,

Seeing Dorian made me break…but one thing his betrayal had taught me was there was no-one coming to save me so each time I fell, I had to make it my own duty to gather the pieces of myself and keep moving…
