The next morning, as promised, you hear a knock at your door, you mutter awake.
Ugh, you grumble and turn over, and Ella came back. She must have returned when you were asleep, she turns over and opened her eyes a slight bit.
"Whose calling at this ungodly hour." Ella grumbles, shoving a pillow over her ears.
"It's Nate, we are going to breakfast." You grin excitedly.
"Are you two like dating now?" She questions.
"Yeah." You smile.
"I'm so happy for you. Go enjoy yourself, just fetch me a latte, please." Ella laughs.
"Sure thing." You laugh and answer the door, Nate looks you up and down.
"You're not dressed?" He looks confused.
"No, you just woke me up." You laugh.
"I'll wait for you to change." Nate smiles.
"You're the best." You kiss Nate on the cheek and head off into the bathroom. A few minutes later, you return.
"I'm ready. Let's go." You beam at Nate.
"You two are cute together. But don't forget my latte." Ella shouts as you head out of the dorm.
"I wouldn't dream of it." You yell back to her as you and Nate leave.
You head to Nates truck, you hop into the passenger seat.
"How do we act?" You blurt out.
"Like a normal couple." Nate chuckles.
"Right." You look a little embarrassed, You and Nate head over to the cafe for breakfast. Nate takes your hand and walks you in.
"What are you having? My treat." Nate asks.
"I'll have pancakes and a coffee, please." You smile at him.
"Sure, go find a seat. I'll be over in a moment." Nate smiles.
You head over to a table as you sit down, and you spot Zack, Taylor, and Brianna walking into the cafe.
'Crap, that's all I needed.'
Nate joins you with the pancakes and coffee
"For milady." Nate sets the pancakes in front of you and a coffee.
"Thank you." Nate sits opposite you. He can sense the uneasy tension.
"Are you okay?" He looks at you worried.
"Erm, not really."
"Is something wrong with the breakfast?" He asks, concerned.
"No. Everything is perfect." You smile.
You see Nate glance over your shoulder his expression darkens.
"We can leave if you want to." He suggests.
"Let's finish breakfast first." You reply.
You and Nate finish up and begintp head out hand in hand. You hear a familiar voice from behind you as you're leaving.
"Couldn't find a girl you haven't slept with on campus, so she was the next best thing?" Zack mocks.
"Shut up." Nate growls.
"It's okay, I'm sure your little girlfriend already knows your reputation." Zack smirks.
You step closer to Zack, piercing your eyes into him.
"Nate hasn't got a reputation, and he wouldn't cheat on me like you did." You snap.
"Taylor and I had been seeing each other behind your back way before you found out." Zack laughs.
"My point exactly you're a jerk." You snap back.
"And you're a sad and pathetic girl." You winces at Zacks words.
"You sound like Sam." You hiss.
"Whatever, don't come crying to me when he's bored of you." Zack glares at you.
"Whatever." You snarl, grabbing Nates' arm and pulling him out of the cafe.
Nate sits in his truck, silent a moment.
"What's wrong?" You glance at him.
"What zack said really made me think about things." Nate replied gloomy.
"Oh." You sigh.
"Yeah, don't worry about it. Let's get to class." Nate smiles.
"We forgot Ella's latte." You gasp.
"You stay here. I'll be right back." Nate rushed back into the cafe.
'He's taking a little while for just getting a latte.'
Nate climbs into the drivers seat and hands you Ella's latte. You notice his nose is bleeding.
"What happened?" You look at him concerned.
"Zack was talking smack about you, so I had to teach him a lesson." Nate replies.
"And he hit you?" You question.
"He looks worse." Nate turns the key, and the engine begins to sputter. He drives you back to campus.
You walk into college, Ella spots Nate behind you cluthcing his nose.
"What happened?" She nods in the direction of Nate.
"Zack happened." You remark.
You file into your seats, midway through the class Taylor bursts in, late.
"Taylor, you're late. Why?" The professor questions her.
"Sorry I lost track of time." She smiles sweetly.
"Right, take a seat." The professor gestures to a chair.
Taylor seats herself opposite you and Nate. Every so often, she looks in your direction. After class ended, you headed for the gym for cheer practice.
"Where's Madison?" You look about for her worried.
"She has her scan today, so I'm co captain for today, and I say that you step down as captain." Taylor smirks.
"Erm...no." You dismiss Taylors idea.
Taylor moves closer to you. She's so close that you can smell her tacky perfume.
"I suggest you do as I say or I'll make your life hell." She whispers.
"I'm not letting you talk to me like that. You don't scare me." You declare.
"So nieve, I know a few of your secrets thanks to Zack, wouldn't want them to get out, would we?" She laughs.
"What do you want?" You snap.
"You to break up with Nate." She laughs.
"And if I don't?" You ask.
"Then a certain little moon secret will come out." She smirks again.
"That puts Nate at risk, too." You explain.
"Then I'll tell everyone you're a Virgin." She laughs again.
"Screw you." You snap at her.
"You're making a huge mistake." Taylors voice is more serious than before.
You walk off out of the gym, you head for the showers after you're done, you change and finish up. You hear a few girls come in. You can't make out the voices. The next thing you know, there's a smack around your head, and you fall to the floor.
You can make out one voice, and the other seems oddly familiar."I told you not to mess with me." Clearly, that was Taylor.
She kicks you repeatedly in your ribs, you wince in pain. She kicks you in the face. You can feel the pain searing through you.
"STOP, please." You sob.
You shut your eyes tightly. You're hoping it will stop at any moment, but it doesn't. Taylor still kicks you. A second girl pulls your hair and smashes your head off the floor.
The next thing you knew, everything was dark.
You've been back at campus two weeks; Blake's been avoiding you which is super odd since you were close before the holidays. “Is it just me or has Blake been acting strange?” Oscar asked. “I've noticed that too.” You replied, a little concerned. “Weren't you two close before the break?” Nate questioned. “I thought we were, he hasn't spoken to me since we came back.” You sighed, sadly. “So go talk to him, find out what's going on.” Tara encourages you to talk to him. Before you can reply, Zack interrupts. “Don't bother, I can assure you he won't talk, I've tried talking to him, I got nowhere.” “But this is Olivia that will be speaking to him, maybe she will get somewhere.” Tara explained. “I'll text him, see if he wants to go for a coffee, we can talk then.” You remarked. “Good idea.” Tara replied. He reads it but doesn't reply. “I think he's mad at me, he's read it but not replied.” You explained. “It's fine, let him sulk, try to catch him after our practice.” Nate smiled.
You've arrived at Nate's for the holidays; his mom greets you. “Are you two looking forward to the holidays?” she hugs you as you enter the house. “Sort of, it's my first one alone” You sigh a little, remembering Sam and your mom aren’t here for the holidays. “I'm sorry Hunnie, I'll make it as fun as possible.” She hugs you. “Thankyou.” You give her a soft smile. “Why don't you two head upstairs and unpack, I'll work on dinner.” She nodded in the direction of the stairs. You and Nate head upstairs. “So, our first Christmas together as a couple.” Nate beams at you. “You don't have to make small talk, to try and make me feel better.” You smile, softly. “I know but I also know it's hard for you right now.” Nate sighed sadly. “As long as we have each other I'll be okay.” You reassured him. “I wanted to give you a gift early, to lighten the mood a little.” He smiled at you. “Oh erm, I brought yours, do you want one now?” You blush a little, showing him the nicely wrapped gift
You're back in the frat; you find Nate for the long-awaited conversation. “Can we talk? "You asked Nate. “Sure.” He smiled; you grab Nate's hand and pull him out of earshot of the group. “I was wondering if you wanted to get back together, like end the break?” You blurted quickly. “I've been waiting weeks for that question, yes!” He beamed. “I’m glad that’s settled.” You smile sweetly. “Did you manage to figure everything out?” Nate asked, curious. “I'm pretty sure I did, I realised I'm happiest with you.” You smiled at him again. “And I’m happiest when I’m with you.” Nate wraps you in a hug. “Taylor told me about the pool party.” You remarked. “My mom organised it.” Nate replied, sadly. “And she didn’t invite me?” You stare at him in shock. “She doesn’t like you.” Nate replied, quickly. “Oh.” You feel a bit of sadness wash over you. “I'm sure you can find a way to make her love you almost as much as I love you.” Nate smiled, reassuring you. Nate pulls you close, it fee
You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug. “I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked. “Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed. “Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly. “Ella.” You remarked. “What?” Nate stares at you. “Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued. “Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked. “Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils. “So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned. “I hope so.” You remarked. “Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his ey
You were hanging out with Nate in his room in the Beta house, you had the last two weeks to think about everything and heal a little from the death of your mom and Sam. “How's things been?” Nate asked, carefully, rubbing the bottom of your back. “Okay, if I’m being honest.” You smiled, reassuringly. “Did you figure things out about us yet?” Nate asked, sheepishly. “Not quite, I will soon, it's been a lot to process.” You smile softly at him. “I understand.” Nate replied, a little hint of sadness in his voice. You head into the Livingroom to be greeted by Blake and Oscar; Blake wraps you in a hug. “My favourite person, how’s things?” Blake beamed at you. “They’re good.” You laughed at Blake. Nate is staring daggers at Blake. Blake hasn't noticed, you pull away and sit on the sofa. “So, Oscar, where’s Tara?” You grin at him. “She’s just getting ready.” Oscar blushes a little. “Are you two dating?” You asked. “Yes.” He blushed harder. Tara comes skipping into the Livingroo
It's been two weeks since Sam's death and you and Nate going on a break, you're hanging out with Blake, Zack and Oscar. "So you want to throw a party?" Blake asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Yup." You laughed. "And that's why you need us?" Blake questioned. "I need the best party throwers in the house." You smiled, buttering Blake up. "Always, well since you asked so nicely, how can i say no?" Blake smiled at you. "Okay, well, erm, can you get the beer, please?" You asked, sweetly. "Has princess not got ID?" Blake mocks you. "No, you have to be 21, douchebag." You laughed in response. "I'm not 21." Blake replied. "You could pass for it." You smirked. "Really? What are you saying?" Blake gave you a skeptical look. "Calm your ego, I'm saying you look old." You laughed, mocking him. Zack and Oscar laugh, you notice Nate is stood there. "You good man?" Blake turned to Nate and asked. "Yeah, i was hoping we could talk Olivia?" Nate smiled at you. "I'm a little busy bu
