This is it – we were all at the airport, and it was time to say goodbye to my family.

I felt an overwhelming sadness wash over me. I'd been crying in the car earlier, clinging to Mommy as we hugged tightly.

I will miss her, and Daddy too, despite his constant scolding.

And Grandpa... who would cook chicken soup and call me "little princess?"

The thought of living without them, even though I can still see them, is unbearable.
