Roadtrip

I am taking Becca away; I think after the past three months, we need to take this break away from everything. We need to find each other again. So we are finding our way out to Scotland; Becca loves the beautiful open spaces with mountains and the lush brush and trees as fat as the eyes can see.

This morning it is abuzz around the cabin, I am struggling to get her to settle on something to wear, and of course, she is doing last-minute packing. She has never been one that is prepared, but I love this girl so much she can take the whole day; I really don't care.

But there is a limit, "Becca, can we get going? I don't want to leave too late."

"Just give me five more minutes."

I turn around and lie on my back again. As I stare at the ceiling, I start counting the minutes down.

"It has been five minutes, Becca."

She softly chuckles at me; she knows exactly what I was doing; she only but frowns and me and continues
