~ AARON’S POV

"Alpha, here's the list of immigrants," Luke said, handing me the pile of documents. I scanned through them, stamping the ones I deemed worthy to stay. The rest would be sent back. With so many pack members lost, the palace needed more people so Luke made sure we got people coming to Crystal Palace.

Honestly, the past couple of weeks had been so busy. Working with new people and getting them to understand how the system works here is so draining,

"How many in total?" I asked, still working on the documents.

"About a two hundred plus," Luke replied. "Most are part of the pack, but since we need doctors and other specialists, the immigrants could fill those roles."

"Tell me about them," I said. "Are they rogue, or did they simply leave their towns?"

"The majority are rogue," Luke said, "but some are from the city, trying to find a new life elsewhere."

"Okay, good," I said.

"I wanted to ask, how many are we needing? I need to know so I can stop the immigration process."
