Prologue

"A girl so soft and genuine, so innocent and full of life, shouldn't fall to the likes of me."

I wasn't enough for someone like him, someone powerful and full of authority like him. While I struggle to live in this cruel world, he struggled fighting his own demons inside him.

I realized that no matter how hard I try to fit in his world, I certainly don't belong to it. Dahil kahit anong gawin ko, hindi magtatagpo ang langit at ang lupa. He's like the sky in my life, looking up at him simply calms my soul. Pero may mga bagay na dapat hanggang tingin nalang, simply because there are things that will never be yours.

Nalaman kong kailangan ko nang makuntento sa pagtingin sa kaniya mula sa malayo. Dahil iyon ang nararapat, ang tanawin na lamang siya. Because if I continue to try to reach him, I know I will drag him down. At hindi siya magdadalawang-isip na iwan ang langit para sumama sa akin sa lupa. And that's the last thing I would want him to do.

Because if I can fight for him by staying away, then I will. I don't want to be a burden, I don't want him to lose everything because of me. He belongs to heaven and I belong to the grounds of Earth. We don't belong to each other, and he's better without me. He deserves someone that can make him stay above while I deserve someone on the same ground, I don't deserve him because he's out of my league.
