Out of my League

"Hey, Hello.... dude." 

A boy with petite figure was walking with big and hurry steps to avoid the crowd. Not to take eyes off from the ground and keeping the steady posture to cross the river of students to get out of the gate. 

"Hey.... listen... come on. Just one glimpse pretty" A boy passed a comment to him while trying to hold his hand but he quickly dodge it. It was quite common for him. He often get manhandled by other students, being the weak he was walking target for them. They like to bully him. He is bullied by the seniors and his classmates on daily basis. He always stay alone. 

"Aiden.... Hey. Stop" A small boy with shiny grey hairs called the brown haired boy who was walking towards the gate, on hearing his name the brunette turn to the very familiar voice. It was the only voice in the world that made him happy, that made him feel like a human. 

Human? H.U.M.A.N? 

Well yes. Why? Well let’s see about that. 

"Jimmy. Hey" Brunette turned and ran into the smaller boy’s arms. "Where were you? It’s been two days. I haven't seen you, neither got your text. Why?" Aiden whined while holding the small boy more tightly. 

"I'm sorry Addie. I-I got a call from Rosie and she told me that there are some students needed for the festival arranged by Broadway Dance Center and Rosie is the ambassador from our school. She gave my name to perform there." Jimmy said but there was sadness in his voice, which didn't go unnoticed by Aiden.

"This is so good to hear Jimmy. Why are you sad? You should be happy. It's an honor to perform at Broadway Dance Center . I'm so proud of my best friend. When is the festival?" Aiden said but not leaving jimmy's shoulder. Jimmy could sense the happiness in Aiden’s voice but still he was afraid to tell him the remaining truth. 

"It's next Month. B-b-but..." he was cut off by Aiden's giggles. 

 "What? What is it that is making my strong Jimmy shutter?" Aiden's giggles were making him more nervous. He still gather his strength and said

 "B-but we need to leave today. F-f-for 2 months." Jimmy quickly separated from Aiden by holding his shoulder and in return he hissed in pain and Jimmy was quick to lose the grip on his shoulder.

 "What is it Addie? Are you hurt? How...." his eyes widened on the scene in front of him. He was unable to understand what was happening because Aiden's shirt started to stain red from the certain portion of upper arm. 

"Addie….. W-what is this? Does it happened again? Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you tell me before? I'm so stupid I was so concerned with myself that I didn't even asked about you…. I...." Aiden cut him off by putting his index finger on his mouth. 

"Jimmy. Go get ready, go pack your bags, your life long opportunity is waiting for you. This is nothing. How long will I disturb you for my problems? You are here for me even after knowing me. This is more than enough for me" Jimmy was taken aback from his words.

 Did I said something wrong? Damn my mouth. Oh God! 

"Aidde. Shut it okay. Tell me when? Why? What was it now?" Jimmy asked in a little stern voice and with dominance that Aiden got no other choice but to tell him everything.

 "I-I didn't attend my shift of last week properly and got half payment. I-I needed new work book for next project so I spent some money on it. Yesterday when D-Dad asked for money I gave him b-but it was just t-twenty dollars. H-he..." Jimmy was red, he didn't even wanted to hear the rest of it. He knew what could have happened so he spoke,

"And you got beaten for that? Why didn't you ask me? I could have gave you all my money Addie. Don't tell me he cut your arm for some piece of paper? Why don't you report in Police? I'm sure you will be better off alone" Aidden chuckled dryly.

That piece of paper you are talking about Jimmy is more worthy than me. 

"No. T-this……. I accidentally fell on the glass table and got c..." he was cut off by Jimmy’s glare.

 "Please Addie. You can fool anyone but me with a little story of your." Unconsciously Jimmy’s eyes landed on the watch and her frowned. 

"Let's patch you up properly. Huh?" He said smiling to ease the mood of the certain brunette. But Aiden already hold his hand and gave him a big boxy smile but a fake one.

"It's okay Jimmy. You go. I'll do it later. I also have to go I don't want to have another episode. D-Dad will be home soon. I should go" Jimmy knows Aiden is lying, he will never do that later but he also didn't want his best friend to get in trouble so he let him go but before he go he hugged him again

"Take good care of yourself Aidde. Don't ever feel burdened to call me. I'm always there for your help" Aiden was happy truly happy to have Jimmy in his life. He always believed that Jimmy was the result of his good deeds to assure him that he has an anchor to stand in his troublesome life. They bid each other good bye and left to their destination. 

Aiden’s pace increased. He looked at his watch and saw that he has only 10 min to help himself to get home safely and so he ran faster. His legs were hurting but still he didn't stop. When the familiar site of his house got in his sight he sighed in relief that he came earlier than his father and rushed to the front door. But little did he knew. 

Aiden opened the front door and saw there was no sound of bottle rattling or sound of specific Sport channel so he got inside and was about to go upstairs when the door behind him slammed shut and the lock was heard. He felt like the soul left his body he turned around and saw the figure he least expect to see him right now but with than he heard the figure speak:

"Surprise surprise"
