Chapter 6

As I'm sitting there with my mouth hanging open from shock, Jason explains how his parents died when the humans started hunting warlocks, humans thunk that supernaturals are the problem and then take parents away from their children, unbelievable. He and his brothers manage to survive off the pretenses of being human, thankfully people didn't pay to much attention to them. Warlocks have a certain gift called the sight where they can see and almost smell magical power. That is how he knew about my flame. At least now I don't have to question my acting skills, just my perfume quality. That's a big relief

"So why didn't you tell me straight away that you knew about my powers?" I ask a bit confused by his secrecy.

"To do that I'd have to tell you I was a warlock and I didn't trust you straight away." He counters as he shoves his own sandwich into his mouth.

"Makes sense, are your brothers also warlocks?" I take another large bite from my sandwich.

"Damian and I are practiced warlocks but Tommy just came of age so maybe we could train you two together." That sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

"Train? Where exactly would we be able to train without drawing suspicion?"

"There is a supernatural gym, just a few blocks down. It's cover is a tattoo parlor and it is on the top floor, the gym is underground." Jason says he finishes off the rest of his sandwich. A supernatural gym, how have I never head of this before.

"Damm, I've been dying to find a place to train. Normally I'd learn from experience which isn't so fun when you could actually get hurt." I have proof in the form of scarred legs and arms.

"I'm sure, so we'll take you today, the pub closes early on Sundays."

"I can't wait." I reply with a huge grin as I wolf down the rest of my sandwich.

We both sit there staring at each other, over our empty plates. He licks his lips and my eyes follow his tongue, a fun idea pops into my head.

"I've still got ten minutes on my lunch break you now" I say as I hop out of my chair and walk towards where he is sitting in what I hope is a sexy manner. He opens his legs so I can stand between them and wraps his arms around my waist whilst I wrap mind around his neck. I look into his eyes and he looks into mine before his eyes drift down to my lips.

"I'm so glad I hired you." Jason murmurs into my skin as he kisses the spot just under my ear and my eyelids grow heavy with pleasure.

"Me too," I groan out, tilting my head black to expose the column of my throat to him. I've been with guys before but I've never felt anything like what I've felt with Jason. It's truly amazing.

He licks a line up my throat ending at my mouth, I open up for him as he slips his tongue inside. I thread my hands into the hair at the nape of his neck. Our tongues fight for dominance as his hand drops to the back of my thighs. Lifting me to straddle him on his chair. He moans into my mouth as a grind onto him, unable to stop himself. Pulling his face closer to mine with the grip I have on his hair.

"I'd like to take you out to dinner some time." He manages to get out in a get out in a breathy voice as we part to breath. Our chests are still heaving from outer intense make out session.

"Why, this is so much more fun." I respond as I lay featherlight kisses to the underside of his jaw, making him shudder.

"I want to make you feel special," he counters

"Maybe later next week," I reply as I tug his earlobe between my teeth drawing out another breathy moan. I must say, I don't think a date will ever be more fun than making out,

"I should get back to work," I say as I reluctantly relent on my assault of his ear. His hands leave my thighs with one final squeeze.

"Me too," he says, giving me one last peck on the lips. Those wonderfully juicy lips

"Meet me at the bar ten minutes after closing time to leave, where something sporty. You're definitely gonna get sweaty." He adds with a flirtatious wink.

I like this side of Jason better than the cold, calculating and lethal side. Though I'm sure that side will come in handy. It's a slow Sunday afternoon at the pub, only one or two people come in for lunch. Giving me p,entry of time to daydream about Jason. An hour before closing time I hear the bell ring which is unusual as we are only open from drinks now and it's a Sunday night. Sunday's are usually for families. If you have one that is. I wonder who would be coming in this late,

Then I see a mop of blond hair and a recognizable sinister smirk, followed by his perv of a brother. Well isn't this a wonderful day to end of a Sunday afternoon, not. Next comes the dark haired one, Vincent I believe his name was. Followed by his brother; Knight who looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but here. Knights face doesn't blend in with the crowd of sinister smirks, there is something different about him.

Shit, they do not look happy, though I can't blame them. I wasn't exactly gentle with the, in the alley the other night but it was self defense so it isn't my fault. "Two beers and two cokes," James says as he ruffled Zack's hair. Male displays of affection, I'll never understand it.

"And the waitress to go." Vincent sneers,"we've got a bone to pick with you." He continues as he plonks himself onto a stool at the bar. How original.

"Come to get your asses beat again boys?" Jason says as he comes out from the kitchen. I stifle my laughter, "and by a girl less than half you size," he continues earning a growl from Vincent. Men, so primal, I think to myself as a chuckle inwardly. Jason stands behind me in a protective stance, making me feel safer. What a gentleman.

"Just take your drinks and go boys, we wouldn't want to damage those pretty faces now would we." I say as I lay the tray of drinks down and slide it across the bar, careful in keeping my distance. I know I can take them but I don't want to mess up the pub

"We're not leaving until we get what we came for," Zack snickers, looking like a lost little puppy next to his built brother.

"What exactly did you come for," I ask with a raised eyebrow, "another beating?"

"Actually, we thought we'd give you a warning," before I can even blink something sizzles from Vincent's fingers and a ball of energy shoots towards me and pins me up against the wall.

"Stay with these brothers or you'll have a target on your back" he says applying pressure to my throat with his magic. Another warlock, is this place like warlock central or something. Did I just not get the memo.

I don't know what happened or how it happened, but I feel my hands start to heat up. Next thing I see are Vincent and James cowering in fear. I know I'm badass but I haven't even done anything yet, why are the cowering. Zack looks like he is about to cry and knight is looking up at me in awe. I don't know why but they grab their younger brothers and leave the pub in a hurry. Still confused I turn Jason and see my reflection in the Cabernet behind him. Damn.

My hair has turned a brilliant orange imitating flames. My skin is glowing and giving of heat as my eyes glow a bright yellow.

"Raven, I think we should work on getting that under control." Jason offers as he looks at me in awe. He walks towards me and I walk backwards.

"Stop, I don't want to burn you."

"Then think about not burning me, you control your flame not the other way round." I focus on controlling it, on reeling it back in.

He reaches me and puts his hands on either side of my face, he smashes his lips into mine. This is probably the most heated kiss I ever had. He threads his hands into my flaming hair. Pulling my head back to get better access to my mouth.

"We should probably get you to the gym before someone sees you and puts the fire extinguisher to you."

I chuckle against his mouth.

"I'll go change, meet you back here in 10?"

"Perfect" I jog down the hall to go and change.
