Chapter Nine: Breaking the Seal
The group exited the portal at the north side of the forest. The cloudless sky shined bright with stars. Astra and Angelica stayed in between the boys as a line of defense. The forest creatures scattered as they moved through the trees. The mausoleum shined in the moonlight as they approached.
“What do we do when we get the thing open?” Devon asked, looking to Astra.
“Adric will set up the I.V. to feed Aleister.” Astra answered Devon.
“He will most likely be in a coma state till he has enough blood.” Adric said as a noise came from the south, and before anyone could speak, a man tackled Devon.
“Devon!” Angelica cried as a girl with raven hair appeared in front of her.
“Hey there, Ginger, you look scared.” She taunted Angelica before lunging to attack her. Angelina had her sword in hand, ready to defend herself. The tip of the blade pierces the raven-haired girl's chest, causing her to stop her attack.
“You little bitch….” She muttered

Astra needed to move fast and quickly for her mission to succeed. She opened a time-lapse portal to the blood bank and moved quickly. “I can do this….” Astra said to herself as she ran through the portal. She emerged in the storeroom. Blood was hanging in the chilled room behind glass cabinets. She looked up to check for any cameras filming her and found none. “Who leaves blood with no surveillance?”“Well, that isn’t a problem when you have magic.” She said to no one in particular, seeing as she was alone. She planed her index finger on the hole to unlock it with a zap. The cabinet doors released as she lifted her finger from the keyhole. She took blood bags from each section to make it look like none were missing. “Okay, that should be enough for a week or two.” She said as she counted the twenty blood bags as she put them in her backpack. Once the cabinet was locked, she made her leave through the portal.
