Chapter Ten: The Awakening
Aleister looked to Angelica with love and relief in his eyes. “Thank the Gods you are alive.” He almost sounded like he was about to cry. “Where is your mother?” He looked around at the faces surrounding him.
“Her family has her, unfortunately; But we are going to get her back.” Astra answered his question.
“Is she okay?” He asked panicked. “If they hurt her, I will tear them apart.”
“She is fine; last I checked, they want her alive till they get Angelica.” Astra answered, trying to calm him down.
“Why wait to rescue her?” Aleister questioned as he climbed out of the Coffin.
“One Angelica is not ready to fight; she is our best chance to survive a horde of werewolves. Two, we had to save you first. You have been in here for too long as it is.” Astra said as she counted on her fingers the reasons Shayla was still in the clutches of her family

Astra needed to move fast and quickly for her mission to succeed. She opened a time-lapse portal to the blood bank and moved quickly. “I can do this….” Astra said to herself as she ran through the portal. She emerged in the storeroom. Blood was hanging in the chilled room behind glass cabinets. She looked up to check for any cameras filming her and found none. “Who leaves blood with no surveillance?”“Well, that isn’t a problem when you have magic.” She said to no one in particular, seeing as she was alone. She planed her index finger on the hole to unlock it with a zap. The cabinet doors released as she lifted her finger from the keyhole. She took blood bags from each section to make it look like none were missing. “Okay, that should be enough for a week or two.” She said as she counted the twenty blood bags as she put them in her backpack. Once the cabinet was locked, she made her leave through the portal.
