They held each other for a long time. It had been nearly two decades since they were together. Shayla assumed her love was dead but here he stood with their daughter. She broke their embrace to look her daughter over.
“Are you okay?” Shalya asked as she held her arm's length away. “Nothing broken or missing?”
“Mom I am fine it's you I am worried about.” Angelica said as she looked at the gash on her shoulder. It was slowly healing.
“I will heal in no time but you; I have been worried about.” Shayla said as she cupped her daughter's face.
