Zander stilled there. No movements. No respiration. No blinking of eyes. He seemed more like a mannequin standing in his position ceaselessly that Wendy pulled at his arm to get his heed as he was not responding in spite of her constant calls.
She tugged at his sleeve yet no movement. Defeatedly, she brought her feet angrily and stomped it on his, earning a loud cry.
He jumped holding his feet as he painfully winced. Zander ultimately came out of his trauma and cast her a dark look. "Why did you do that?" He clenched and released his teeth.
"You were not responding let alone move, so..." She shrugged her shoulders and Zander came back to a standing position.
His mind wandered back to Ryley's message and the colour of his cheeks transformed to sandy dull.
