Chapter 31 - Daddy part 2

Everly POV

Theodore has been gone for a long time. I decide to walk after them, and I might be able to help. After all, I know exactly how she felt. I was brought here against my will, taken from my family. I know they agreed to it, and they kind of sold me for the business deal, but I didn’t want to come, and I ended up here, away from my family and not really knowing the man that was standing in front of me. I guess she feels the same way.

“You don’t like it here?”, Theodore asks, and she replies by telling him that home is where her mommy is, I feel my heart breaking. This little girl, at such a young age, has gone through so much. I would take it all away if I could. I would make it better for her, I would take her pain away and make it more just so she could be a normal child without any worries or concerns that should be adults having and not a child.
