Talia’s POV

Della walked beside me along the unfinished stretch of wall. Her expression remained serious. “Are you sure?”

“I could just be overreacting,” I replied.

"When you expelled Jason and Michael from Shadowclaw, did you send Henry to track them?" Della asked.

I shook my head. "No. I strengthened the defenses and banned their return.”

"That's it?" Della stopped walking. "You didn't think you had to have someone watching them?"

"At the time, I believed removing them was enough," I explaine

Yep “Mason” slash Jason lit a fire to either distract them from his true intentions OR just to slow their progress on the wall!! I’m already feeling bad for Maggie but honestly she should have known something wasn’t right about her stranger knowing her name?? She’s even more gullible than Talia is!

    Talia’s POVThe next morning, we sat at the table, barely touching our food. My stomach was tight with nerves, but I forced myself to eat a little so no one would worry. Sometimes, I noticed Nolan watching me, like he could tell how anxious I felt. He looked lost in his own thoughts, too. The attack on Walden had shaken everyone, and now the whole pack felt tense and unsure, like we were all waiting for something bad to happen."We’ve been back for days," Nolan said quietly.
