LIAM'S POV
I continued to pace around the room with a rage of anger sizzling through me. I couldn't get myself to be calm even though my friends who were seated there continuously asked me to. "Why did it have to be exactly her when there are tons of other slaves he could purchase," u yelled, slamming my hand against the wooden table in front of her with so much anger that ate deeper and deeper into me with every second that passed. "Are you sure he doesn't like her and hence, the reason he wants to get her?" Kai asked as she sipped slowly from the cup of wine fastened to his hand. He jiggled the cup around while I continued to pace round the room with reckless abandon. "I doubt if that's what happened.. he cannot possibly have feelings for that wrench when my beautiful and Gorgeous sister is right here and he's even taking her as his mate, so I don't think he has feelings for Katherine." I went on to say. "Are you sure? Do you think he'll pay such a huge amount to have her if he doesn't have feelings for her? Two bags of gold isn't a child's play and you know that…" "Yeah, I know, but I don't think that's how it is." I went on to say as I didn't want to agree with the fact that he might be right. "Alright then, but don't be surprised if that's just the truth…" my friend said again and burst into laughter. I was still fuming hard when the door came open with reckless abandon. Our eyes moved towards the door, wondering who it was. It was Lisa. She looked so mad and upset. "What's the problem and why do you look so furious? Did anything happen outside?" I asked with a frown forming quickly on my face. I was still trying to get over the fact that Katherine would be leaving, and here she was, forming all hard and mighty. "Talmabout that witch acting all bossy and Nuts because she's finally going to be leaving our pack. You needed to see the way she stared at me, like we both are of the same class. This is so annoying and I feel like landing a punch across her face." She confessed, clenching her hands into a fist. "Is that why you are here?" I asked suddenly, taking her off guard. She had thought I was going to be interested by what she had to say hence the reason she came into the room. She thought of what to say to me but she couldn't think of anything. I fixed my gaze on her, waiting for a response from her and when I got none, I eyed her vehemently and caused her to scurry off. The moment she was out of the room, a loud hiss trailed from my lips while my friend burst into a long round of laughter. "I have to think of a way to stop her from leaving. I have to do something about this and as quickly as I can," I vowed and moved out of the room like one that was being pursued. LAURA'S POV I stared at my cousin who was standing in front of me with so much hatred. "How did she manage to avoid my attack!" I wondered as I moved towards her again. I was bent on sending her to the other world. I couldn't stand having an omega disrespecting me. "So killing my entire family wasn't enough? You still want to kill me as well," she asked me as she took some steps backwards, but I pretended like I didn't hear her or like she even existed. All I wanted was to kill her and I was going to do just that. I thrust the knife at her face and this time, she missed just by the tail. "Damn it! You cannot continue to miss!" I yelled at myself in a loud voice that echoed through the place, not caring if I was heard by others or not. Before I could say jack Robinson, she landed me a kick on my belly, causing me to reel to the floor. I yelled out in pain, clutching my tummy hard. I wanted to pull attention to the both of us and that happened exactly the way I wanted it to happen. The alpha king rushed out of the chambers towards where we were with a kind of worry in his eyes. My parents followed closely behind him, looking so worried as well. "What's going on here?" My mother queried with her hands akimbo. From the look on her face, it appeared that Katherine was the major suspect on her list. I decided to play along with it. "She kicked me in the belly without doing anything to her. I was only trying to tell her that I would miss her once she's gone from here and instead of hearing me out, she kicked me off," I explained and then moaned in pain to make it sound more convincing. "Oh my goodness! How evil you can be, Katherine," my mother chipped in as she bent low before me, wrapping her hand around me. My father didn't say anything and I found it quite strange. I stole a glance at Alpha Jordan and saw he had his gaze fixed on Katherine. I was infuriated. "Damn it! His attention Should be on me and not that low life bitch," I cursed under my breath. "What happened Katherine? Did you really push her as she said you did?" He asked her, taking us all by surprise. I, most especially, hadn't expected him to ask her despite hearing my side of the story. I turned my head sharply to him and rose to my feet. "Are you doubting me now? Didn't I already tell you what she did?" I nagged and bursted into tears, giving loud sobs that were loud enough to irritate anyone. "No, I'm not doubting you but I think it's right to hear from both cases to prevent partiality of any form," he blurted out and continued with Katherine. "Why did you push her off?" "She's telling nothing but a lie. I didn't push anyone off intentionally. She took out a knife and was about to stab me with it. I had to defend myself somehow." She said much to my annoyance. I prayed for nothing more than the ground should open up and swallow her at that moment. "She's telling lies. They are all lies. I have never stabbed anyone and I won't start with her. I was only trying to be friendly with her." I began to cry again, hoping he would pity me and just let the issue die off but I was wrong. He wanted to get to the root of it. "I'm telling lies right? Why then do you have a knife in your hand?" I felt my world crashing on me the moment she uttered those words. I realised I still had the knife with me and I thought of throwing it away at that moment, but I knew it would be more suspicious if I did such a thing. Their gaze rested upon me, finding the knife sitting pretty just by my side, but not to worry, I had come up with a new excuse that sounded more confusing to the ears. "I had Collected the knife from a young werewolf who I saw playing with it before I came to meet you. Why would I even want to kill you? You come to think of it? You're not my status and neither are we in the same rank… Now, what is there to want to kill you for? If there's nothing more to be said, I'll like to excuse myself," I blurted out, rolling my eyes with a lackadaisical attitude. I had gone but a few inches when a thought crossed my mind. "I'm sorry but I need to ask something of you, Alpha Jordan. Can I ask?" "Sure you can. It's not a problem dear…" he aided me on and I in response flashed a wide grin at him. "Do you perhaps know her before now because I do not seem to understand why you are defending her this much. She is only an Omega, and to think you spent three bags of gold just to have her.." I inquired, locking my hands together with my lips pursed into an awkward position. I desperately wanted to hear what it was he wanted to say. "No, I didn't know her before. I met her here and you know, she's quite hardworking and these are the kind of people that we need in our pack. People that would move the pack forward." "That's great, but are you sure there isn't more to this?" By this time, my father was already staring badly at me but I didn't give a damn. I was ready to get to the end of my questions. "Do you like her?"KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW It didn't matter anymore what anyone thought. I was the Luna of the pack now, meaning new responsibilities had been added to me. Nina was by my side, lost in her thoughts. We had been speaking until five minutes ago. The pack had returned to its normal routine and the excitement that was there a few days ago had faded without a trace.“What do you plan to do concentrating the queen Luna? She doesn't seem like she's going to come around anytime soon..” Nina's eyes peered right into mine as she spoke.I sighed, frustrated.Yeah, that was the exact word. I had no idea why she had such hate for me when I had done nothing against her.“To be frank, I have no idea as to how to go about it. It's tiring and exhausting as well. I went in to her room today..”“You did what?” Nina interrupted, her eyes bulging. You could see her shock plastered all over her face. I managed a weak smile at her, my hands clasped together.“I tried speaking to her earlier today. I was ho
ALPHA JORDAN'S POINT OF VIEW The men nodded their heads in agreement, thrilled by the plans that I had just shared with them. “That's a nice one, Alpha Jordan..” I nodded my head in response, grinning from ear to ear. Now, all I had to do was wait while this project gets executed.Reinforcements were sent to each farm owned by the pack. No less than a hundred men each. They moved with great precision and were there as soon as possible. I had gone with the first team of soldiers and made sure everything was set. “Alpha Jordan!” The commanders at each of the packs shrieked, shocked to see me. “What brings you here sir..” I grinned but told them nothing more than they should know. They nodded their heads and returned to their duty post.As I stood in front of the gate that led into the last farm that I was visiting, I couldn't get rid of this nagging feeling within me.I was certain the attack was going to be launched on that particular farm because I had planned it just that way.
LAURA'S POINT OF VIEW My heart skipped a beat as his words echoed in my ears. Shocked was an understatement as to how I felt at that moment.I already knew that was going to happen but the reality and soonest of it left me speechless. “Tomorrow? Why are you in such a haste?”He chuckled. “Haste? I am a busy person and I do not have time to waste or spare. I'll get your clothes and other things you'll be needing before the end of the day.”His words rang a bell in my ears. I was speechless and nothing made any sense to me. Not in the least. The little appetite I had managed to gather had disappeared into thin air. The food before me looked so unappealing. I remained this way for the next few minutes, my hands shaking uncontrollably. “Why aren't you eating? Are you alright?”His eyes fixed on me, sent chills down my spine. I shivered and couldn't bring myself to utter a word. I didn't have anything to say anyways.Tears gathered in my eyes once again. They were heavy and the control
LISA'S POINT OF VIEWMy face brightened like that of a bride who hadn't seen her Bride in a while. The entire night, I had been sick with worry for my sister, Laura. What could be going on with her? How was she faring? These questions rang through my mind for half of the night before I was swept in the cold hands of slumber.Seeing her that morning gave me all the joy I ever needed. I ran into her arms that opened up as I approached her. Tears gathered in my eyes, struggling to break through.“You're fine.. Thank the goddess..” I exhaled, still wrapped in her grasp. She chuckled, “Did you think something was going to happen to me? Have you forgotten I am Laura and I'm a strong woman?” She said and laughed. Her attempt at lightening the air was stale and proved totally useless but I had to pretend for her sake. I smiled back as we broke away from each other.“Tell me, hope he didn't do anything to you?” That was exactly what I was dying to hear. I knew the chances of that happening was
JORDAN'S POINT OF VIEW I paused on my food, my eyes fixed on him. He seemed quite smitten and I was curious to know what he had to say. His silence only made things worse and I could barely keep my anger in check.“Are you going to speak up or keep acting like some moron?” I yelled, banging my hand against the table. He shuddered a bit, parted his lips and began to speak, “A soldier who had accompanied Miss Laura and her sister back to their pack had suddenly returned.”I hissed, pissed that he had created a scene for something as trivial as that. “Is that all you have to say?”“No sir. That's not all sir,” he shook his head vehemently, still smitten. “Damn it! Go on and spill it already.” I swear, I could strangle him at that moment if care wasn't taken.“He returned, utterly beaten and shaken.” I frowned,”Beaten? Did something happen?*“That's right sir. They were attacked by some rogues and the rest of the men were killed. The former Luna and her sister were all taken hostage.”I
TINA'S POINT OF VIEWMy heart raced against my chest as I stood still. My chest rose and fell heavily with every breath I took. How could I allow myself to be caught by those two scheming fools? Dann it! The queen mother was going to be extremely mad with me for this..I made my way off as quickly as I could, rushing to meet the queen mother as soon ss possible.“You're back!” She had a smile on her face the moment her eyes fell on me. “How did it go?”I stood still, trying to catch my breath from rushing down. The smile on her face vanished off as quickly as it formed on her face. “What's going on? Why aren't you replying me?” I exhaled, parted my lips and began to speak, “I'm sorry queen mother, I was seen by Katherine and her friend back in the hall.”Her eyes widened and she was filled with rage just as I had expected. I braced myself for the worst. “How could you be so stupid as to allow yourself to be c
