CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

Luna was tired, she really was. But, she couldn't stop. She had to find the plaque to leave the house. That was the only way she could leave the house to see Jess, before he killed her.

At some point, she felt a tear drop from her right eye, so she stopped searching and rested against a wall, slowly losing the strength to search for anything again.

Her legs were on the verge of collapsing under her and she was about to go back to the bed to sit, when her eyes suddenly caught something. The plaque!

She bent her back and reached out for it, smiling the moment her hands touched it. The fact that it was that hidden showed that Miles hadn't used it in a while, so he might not even realize that it was gone.

With a bright smile spreading across her lips, she took the plaque close to her lips and planted a soft kiss on it, flinching at the dust on her lips.

"Now, I have to leave!" She took the phone and dipped it into her pocket, before dashing out of the room.
