Here in the ward, Ericka laid on the bed. She looked lifeless with an oxgyen mask attached on her face. I went closer to her and sat down gently at the edge of the bed. Taking her pale hand into mine, I absent-mindedly kissed it numerous times.

I really don't know why I did that. I couldn't help myself. I'm devastated right now. She doesn't look like she's gonna make it. The more I tried to act strong, the more I'm breaking down. Wait...is she gonna die?

Is my mate gonna die? After all my years of searching and waiting patiently for her, she'll die? She'll leave me.
