6. Breathtakingly Handsome

Jaxon placed her on the bed and tucked her carefully before going to settle on the couch. Lauren lifted her head to see him and in the meantime, he also looked at her and their eyes locked. They kept staring at each other silently until a loud thunder struck. They looked away feeling awkward.

"Are you going to sleep on that couch?" Lauren asked him while looking at the couch which was quite small for him. Jaxon snapped his head at her side.

"Why do you want me to sleep with you?" There was a teasing smile plastered on his lips. And Lauren looked at him stunned.

"Don't provoke my beast. Otherwise, he won't take a minute to devour you." Stating that he sat there straight and Lauren gasped in fear and kept lying there silently.

"You don't have to sit here all night for me. You can go and sleep in your room." She said in a low tone timidly.

"I'm not sitting here for you. I'm protecting my pup." Jaxon said sternly and Lauren narrowed her eyes at him.
