PROLOGUE

The mischievous wind was playing hide and seek with the fragrance of the lush green fields and dancing plants. Till a few hours ago the vast landscape was full of farmers ploughing their fields while singing folk songs but now the only song audible was the songs of the cricket because it was nearly midnight.

The sky was picturesque and so clear that one could count the uncountable stars hanging on the biggest roof. The beauty of the moon was at its peak as it was a full moon night.

Holding a lantern an old man was walking towards his home which was still one and a half miles away, he was tired and sleepy too but suddenly his slumber was gone when the thick and dark trampoline of the night was torn by a flash, blinking his eyes he looked at the sky which did not show any hint of clouds or thunder. Before he could understand anything another flash surprised him, this time he saw it coming from a single-story old building.

He was amazed, It was the only building in that area which could be seen in the middle of fields. The only source of light is in the middle of dark fields! Curiosity hit the old man without wasting any of his time. He walked towards the house and peeped inside it through the already broken glass of the window.

For a few moments he was confused, then his eyes widened and his breath hitched. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. A middle-aged tall man took out a whitish purple potion from an Erlenmeyer flask. He mixed only two drops of that liquid into the bowl of rice before placing it in front of a rabbit that was almost dead. The Rabbit didn't feed the rice but the tall man forcefully stuffed that food in its mouth and for a moment it felt that this crazy scientist killed that almost dead animal but suddenly everything changed! The Rabbit opened his eyes which were now glowing with a different red shine. It didn't take much time to start walking and jumping everywhere. Picking the Rabbit up in his hands the man locked him inside a cage and looked towards a ten-year-old boy who was sitting in the corner of the room playing with test tubes and flasks.

"Jaxon, come here!"

"Yeah, Dad?" Leaving the tongs and droppers aside he jumped up happily and walked towards his father. "Wow, she's fine now! Dad, you're great." The boy exclaims happily after seeing the rabbit completely fine. His father ignored him as he was busy unwrapping a bar of small chocolate. He pours ten drops of the same potion on the chocolate before passing it to the boy. He grabbed it with a big grin and started having it.

"Hey Dad, see... Something is... wrong..." The boy mumbled while finishing his chocolate and his father turned to see him. Following the gaze of the little boy he noticed the Rabbit who was now looking much more muscular than a few minutes ago, it was panting and hitting the cage with his head.

"Dad..." a little voice echoed in the room but this scientist preferred to see the Rabbit instead of seeing his son.

"Dad."

"Just wait for a moment, Jaxon." Noticing that the Rabbit was now breaking the cage, this man gasped. "Da-d." this time the scientist furrowed when noticed a shadow falling on the wall just beside him. "Jaxon." He called his son just a moment before turning back and his eyes widened with shock.

The little boy was seeing his hands and arms, his skin was turning dark and black hair started covering it. "D..." He tried to call his father but this time his voice wasn't like a human but a wolf... The tall man gasped when his little boy turned into a beast in front of his eyes. In no time the beast destroyed almost everything he could and jumped on the scientist. Throwing the man on the floor he was about to kill him. "No, Jaxon... I'm your dad." Before the beast could do something his ears grabbed the voice of falling something.

Something made-up of metal as well as glass...

Something like... Lantern.

Leaving the tall man, the beast jumped towards the one who was holding the lantern just a second ago and...

It was the first time when the hungry beast tried to satisfy his never-ending craving. His father's experiment on him to make him the most powerful Lycan King turned out wrong and his beast went wild and uncontrollable.
