73. SIN

Memories from my childhood had been locked away when Draven found me in that motel room. I had been haunted by nightmares but it was filled with only his face, never hers because she was never there. I was twelve the last time I saw her and back then she looked like shit. It was no wonder I didn’t recognize her when Draven introduced us, but she clearly recognized me.

It saddened me that a mother couldn’t recognize her own daughter but then again, I was happy that she didn’t want me to stay with Draven because if I had stayed, I would probably locked inside one of Jackson’s basements.

I wouldn’t be snuggled underneath the blankets in my own nest in my own home with my three mates.

A low sigh fell from my lips.

The arm around my waist tightened, pulling me closer to the body behind me. Goose bumps broke out over my skin when warm lips brushed against the back of my neck.

“The ranch hands will take care of the horses and everything that needs to be done today,” Michel said softly.
