Chapter 2

Calithea's POV

Alpha Aiden pulled my hand, and he was about to pin me against the wall when I didn't allow him to catch me. I had already distanced myself and started walking, but I could still hear what he mumbled. 

“Mystique, huh.” The Alpha uttered, but I did not mind it as I continued leaving far away from him. My heart is still in chaos from what he did. I never thought that he was going to kiss me in front of them, and I could still feel his soft lips against mine. That jerk was a good kisser. 

“You're rushing, Cali? What's going on?” My friend asked me when I met her on the way. 

“I need to leave here as soon as possible. See you tomorrow, Natasha.” I mumbled and didn't wait for Natasha to reply to me. Going home crosses my head after what happened earlier. Alpha Aiden made me so nervous, and I know this is so wrong. I'm a witch and falling in love with a man was against our rules, but witches were already destroyed and so were the rules. We are attacked by anonymous killers, and I was the only one left to our kind living on that land. 

After just a couple of minutes, I reached my small house. I made sure that I lock the door before I lay on the bed. When I looked at the ceiling, the Alpha's image is what I am seeing. 

“Stop it, Cali. You should stop thinking about him and… The kiss you both shared from earlier.” I uttered towards myself while pressing the lips he kissed earlier. His image won't lose in my head and even if I tried to stop thinking about him, damn. Alpha Aiden disturbed my head after he kissed the hell of me. I just forced myself to sleep and for about a couple of minutes, I already felt myself falling asleep. 

“Calithea…” Someone whispered in my ear, which made me open my eyes widely. I was in shock upon seeing the Alpha next to me. 

“Damn, what are you doing in here?” I asked and distanced myself from him. Alpha Aiden chuckled before he got up and when he got up, my jaw almost dropped to the ground. 

He's shirtless! 

His six-pack abs looked shimmering in my two eyes. Aiden was a hot Alpha, by the way, and I have almost forgotten that. Many women drool at him. 

“Visiting you, my mate. What's wrong with that?” He asked, and I couldn't help myself, but shook my head at him. I wonder how this hot Alpha enters my room.

“Visiting me? I thought you didn't like me nor wanted me to be your mate? Don't tell me… You're interested in me, Alpha Aiden.” I mumbled with a smirk on my lips and which made him furrow his brows. 

“Fine! My dad wanted to invite you to the palace. I will also formally introduce you to them, and do you think I like this idea? The moon goddess knew how much I never liked you to be my mate!?” He exclaimed and I shook my head towards him. 

“Why don't you tell the king that you didn't like me?” I asked and he went near me. My heart pounded so fast inside my chest because of the way he stared at me. I step backward to avoid him, not until he already corners me. 

“Why would I do that? I want to get the throne and if I didn't like it, still I have no other options, but to accept you. We're coming, and that's an order from your hot Alpha.” My face flushed from what he mentioned. 

“You just called yourself hot? Where?” I asked mocking him and that made Aiden smirk. 

“Don't you find me attractive, Calithea? Your eyes tell you that you're attracted to me, and you can't hide it.” Aiden uttered towards me and made me clench my fists. 

“Hell no!” I replied and pushed him away. Aiden laughed at what I did, and I bit my bottom lip to compose myself. I should act mystique in front of him, and I will never allow that jerk to manipulate me. I'm a witch, and I am powerful compared to him, but why did I look so weak when the hot Alpha was around me? 

“I know I'm a hot Alpha and you shouldn't act so obviously, Calithea. Come on, prepare yourself because we're leaving. The King is waiting for us.” Aiden uttered and left me to my room. It took me about one minute before I could recover from the shock. I thought I was hallucinating, but everything was so real. The hot Alpha was in my room and I just saw how hot he was. 

“Come on, Calithea. Stop thinking about him, and you shouldn't allow yourself to fall into the Alpha's hands. Remember, you're a witch, don't let him manipulate you.” I kept telling myself that before I stepped out of the room. He was waiting on my small couch, still shirtless. I bite my bottom lips before starting to speak. 

“Why don't you wear your shirt before we leave this house?” I asked, but the Alpha just smirked. 

“Nah, no need. I left my shirt at the palace. Let's go, not until I lose my patience with you and not until I forget myself. Don't flounder, or I'll kiss you again.” He threatened me and I could feel my face redden from what he uttered. 

“Don't you ever do that, I'm telling you,” I uttered towards him, but he doesn't give a damn. Alpha Aiden walked in my direction and when he was near me, he grabbed my waist which shocked me. 

“I would love to taste those lips of yours again, Calithea. What's with you, huh? Why does my body want to feel you?” He asked, which made my mouth agape. “You're a mystique woman, Calithea.” He added, and before I could react, he did something which made my legs shiver.
