Chapter 9

Calithea's POV

Alpha Aiden's charisma is different. It seemed to carry me away. It was making my body weak. He's hot. He's handsome. He's a powerful Alpha.

He's…

“I know I'm handsome, you should not be obvious, Darling,” and it is when I wake up from my thoughts because of what Aiden uttered. I looked away in the other direction because I can't face him at this moment. I embarrassed myself with the Alpha and this is beyond being a witch.

“Oh, crap that!” I exclaimed, but he just smirked. I just felt Aiden hold my left hand and started pulling it out of the room.

"We need to go now, or else I'll lose my patience and I've done something to you,” he responded. I should be displeased by what he told me. But, it's not what exactly happens. My face becomes red and I don't even understand why.

“You are so annoying, Aiden! Don't you know that, huh?” My teeth were even gritted toward Aiden. This man did nothing but piss me. Also, what pisses me off more was the fact that I can't stop myself from praising this Alpha. He has everything. He caught my attention and I'm hating this feeling! 

I'm a witch. 

I should not allow men to enter my life. I should not add a distraction to all my plans that could ruin everything. Men are just a distraction. I will do everything I can and Aiden won't be able to get me. Well, he already gets me. But it's just my body, not my soul, and not my heart. He was maybe claiming me as his mate but that would be all.

“Annoying? Really?” He asked while grinning. Aiden started to walk in my direction and I did my best to step backward. I won't allow this jerk to corner me, but then he succeeded. He cornered me as my body slammed against the wall. He cornered my head with his two hands. Aiden's face is now too close to me. And I could already smell his hot minty breath which was hitting my face. 

“Move away,” I commanded him. However, Aiden just smirked like he was not scared of me at all.

“Who are you to command me, Cali? I am your Alpha King and you are just no one… But my mate,”

My mouth opened wide because of what Aiden had told me. It is not because I never expected him to say those words, but it's all about his charisma.

As I said, Aiden has charisma that could make me speechless. I don't want this. I needed to stop this because this isn't right. This is all wrong. With the use of my two hands, I push him away. Aiden was moved because of what I did to him.

“I don't care, Aiden. You should not forget that if it's not because of me, you are nothing. The throne won't be yours, so it's a win-win situation,” Aiden gritted his teeth because of what I told him. He even put his hands on both sides of his pocket while staring at me.

“Very well said, Calithea. But as you said, I am already the king and the power was already mine. I can do whatever I want using my power. And if I told my warriors to drag you out of this palace, I can do it. So, don't provoke me. You won't like it when I become mad.” Aiden said which made me grit my teeth. Although I wanted to keep arguing with him, I knew what would be the consequences.

I had to follow him and the things he wanted to do unless his men could drag me out in this castle or worse, he could throw me out of this pack.

“Fine, Aiden. You win this time,” I said, giving up which made him smirk.

“Great. I just want to let you know that in an argument, I will always win. So, better prepared first if you want to argue with me,” he responded which made me shake my head. He turned his body already and Aiden was about to walk when I noticed him stop. He faced me back and my brows furrowed because of what he did. My heart just reacted just the way he intertwined his hand with mine. I just bit my bottom lip and Aiden started pulling my hand throughout the room.

I still do not know where our destination is, but I will trust everything to him. I don't give a damn if he wants to put me in danger because I will surely save my life in peril.

“Women's eyes were on us. If their stares can kill, I am sure, I was already dead right after I came out to your room, Alpha Aiden,” I uttered which made him chuckle.

“Women are obsessed and attracted to me. Your alpha has charisma, darling, and better prepare yourself because we can't avoid women attacking us,” I just shook my head at Aiden's words. We just continued walking until we reached the parking lot area.

“Will you wander the pack, Alpha Aiden?” I asked, so his gaze went back to mine. We were about to get inside the car when I asked him those words.

“Yes, we will. I will roam the pack and visit the werewolves staying in there. This is the king's job. Visiting his people is one of our responsibilities. It's not easy being a king, Calithea. You need to make sure of the safety of your people. You need to make sure that no enemies can ever harm them as well as enter the territory,” I was listening to what Aiden had told me.

“Everything in this world is not easy, Aiden. All of us have our mission and goals,” I uttered which made him smile. He even looked at me, so I looked away. I just can't stare at him because if I did, I would remember the steamy scene we did last night. My ass is still aching now, but I just did my best to handle it.

“How about you, Calithea?” My gaze turned toward him when he asked me that. My brows furrowed out of confusion. I wonder what Aiden meant. 

“About what, Aiden?” I was pretending that I didn't understand what he was trying to ask me. I am not just ready to answer him. However, I didn't want him to doubt me, so I had to think better about my answer to his question.

“Nah, don't be silly. I know that you know what I was talking about,” he replied which made me let out a deep sigh.
