Hunter

"You need to calm yourself, Hunter, and stop looking so distraught and confused," Damon advised for the umpteenth time as I paced around my office impatiently.

"Is she settled in?" I asked.

"Yes, she is. According to Owen, she's currently at the cabin, and she's being obedient and mostly asleep," Damon assured me. However, I still wasn't sure about my decision to keep her alive. I honestly could have chosen to kill her and forget she ever existed, but I couldn't bring myself to give such an order, knowing very well that my wolf would never come to terms with me killing his mate.

Left to me, I wanted her as far away as possible, but for security reasons, I couldn't just let her go until I confirmed that she wasn't a spy as she claimed. Once her story checks out, I'll let her go and make sure she stays very far away from me and Brenda.

Speaking of Brenda, I still have no idea how I'm going to break the news to her. I knew this was going to get very complicated and nerve-racking
