Chapter 2 - Party night

"I want you home before twelve and no alcohol. Paul, Rachel please do take care of her and don't leave her side." She told them with concern and worry etched face. They both nodded in unison.

"Granny, don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Now please give me that breathtaking smile of yours." She gave me her most charming smile, making her wrinkles prominent.

"When are we leaving?" I asked Rachel, who was already dressed in a short sleeveless red dress to ravish the night.

"We are leaving at half-past eight." I checked the time and it was fifteen to eight. So I have forty-five minutes to get ready.

"I'll be back after a shower."

"Sure,"

"Rachel can you please select a dress for me from my baggage. I didn't unpack my suitcase yet." We both walked upstairs to my new bedroom, while Paul chatted with my granny in the living room about his plans after college.

After my blissful bath with my vanilla and strawberry hair wash, I walked out of the bathroom wrapping a white fluffy towel around me. I spotted Rachel holding a black lace dress with full sleeves.

"I think it'll be perfect for the night." She held the dress for me to try. After changing into my party wear, I examined myself in the mirror. The dress dropped slightly above my knees, it had a deep V cut in the front showing my cleavage.

The black dress looked contrasting to my pale skin and it compliments my curvaceous body. My brown hair was completely dried now, with its natural waves hanging loosely around my shoulder.

I could see the dark circles under my big doe-like brown eyes. Rachel curled my hair to perfection and gave a smoky effect to my eyes. I completed my look with nude lipstick.

"You look so beautiful." She complimented me.

"Thank you, so do you," we both entered the living room to hear Paul whistle at us.

"I think I'm going to fight men all night." He winked at me with a tease still not taking his eyes off my face.

"Oh shut up, Paul!" I shoved him playfully at his chest. He chuckled softly shaking his head at me.

"You both look breathtaking." My granny gave us a warm hug.

"I know, I'm the reason behind it." Rachel chirped in about her talent in makeup and hairdo.

"Bye, granny, it's getting late. We'll be moving now" we all hugged my granny and made our way out of the house.

"Use protection, sweetie," she yelled at me from the porch. Argh! This was so humiliating. I could hear the laughter beside me.

"Granny," I protested. She gave me a wink and went inside the home.

I entered, Rachel's Ford, while Paul drove in his Mercedes to the nightclub. Paul was of legal age to drink but Rachel and I were still twenty years old. So we entered the club with our fake Ids.

The whole place was packed. I could see some couples making out on couches. Some were grinding against each other on the dance floor. The music was so loud and the whole place was oozing with fun. We three make our way to the bar to order our drink. Rachel and Paul ordered cherry vodka, while I settled with some beer.

"Hey, granny told no alcohol for you." Paul protested with a frown on his face.

"Come on, Paul, it's just a beer, it's not even a strong drink." I pouted, giving him my best puppy eyes. I know it had an effect on him and finally, he sighed.

"Just don't drink more than two glasses." I beamed at him and started to sip from my first glass.

"I promise. No more than two glasses." While I was chatting with Paul, I felt like someone was watching me. I looked around the place and spotted a tall guy of about six feet four with brown hair staring at me with an intense gaze. I was not sure of his eye color due to our distance.

He was well built, muscular not the buffy kind. His attire screamed power and arrogance. His eyes darkened when they met mine not with lust but with hatred and disgust maybe.

He didn't divert his gaze from my face. I was pinned to my spot. I started to squirm uncomfortably on my seat with his deadly gaze on me.

"Hey, are you alright?" I was broke out of my trance by Rachel's voice. The mysterious guy looked away and lost among the sea of people. I turned around to see, Rachel waving her hands frantically in front of my face to get my attention.

"Yeah, I am fine," I assured her with a small smile.

"Are you sure you look like you are about to pass out."

"No, I am fine, really. Let's have some fun." I completed my drink in one go and pulled Rachel along with me to the dance floor. We both danced like a lunatic and swayed our hip to the rhythm of the song.

We both were laughing and giggling like school girls.

After some time we both were exhausted, so we both made our way to the bar in search of Paul. But he was nowhere to be seen. It was already fifteen past twelve. Rachel turned to me full of concern, probably she too noticed the time.

"I think you should go home, granny will be so worried. You take my car, I'll find Paul and get a ride from him." She assured me and handed me her car key.

"I don't want to leave you all alone in this club." I reasoned out.

"Cathie, it's not a big deal I grew up in this place, so don't worry about me. You know about granny's temper and I don't want to face her wrath anytime soon." She was right; my granny will be a handful when she was angry.

So I nodded in acknowledgment and made my way to her silver ford. I started the engine and the car roared to life. I was driving through the middle of the forest on my way back home.  Suddenly the car gave a jerk and stopped in the middle of the forest. I tried to restart the engine but it didn't cope with me.

"Come on baby, I don't want to spend my night in the middle of nowhere." I tried again but it ended in vain. I tried to call Rachel but there was no signal on my phone.

"Damn it! Just fucking great!" I opened my driver's seat and stepped out of the car to find some signal. I was so busy checking my mobile. Suddenly I heard a rustling of leaves from the woods. I narrowed my eyes to see, what was causing the sound. But I couldn't see anything in the dark.

The rustling became so prominent. I scrutinized my eyes to outline some animal running across the trees, and it looks like a panther or maybe a wolf but I was not sure.

"Shit, it is a wild animal. I don't want to be eaten by an animal." I fidgeted with my keys to open the car but the clumsy me dropped the key on the road.

I crouched near my car in search of my key but I couldn't see it properly in this dark. Suddenly I felt some hot air flaring at the back of my neck. My heart was at my throat, beating wildly. I slowly turned my face to come face to face with golden eyes full of fury.

I was stunned, I stopped breathing and it was big, like really big. It was a big black wolf. Its nose was only an inch away from mine. I was pinned to my spot.

I never in my twenty years of my entire life know that a wolf-like this exists in this world. It's so big; I think it had anacondas as its food to grow this large.

I was sweating like a big. My stomach dropped at the sight in front of me. I was breathing so harshly and my lungs squeeze painfully with every breath I took.

"Hel…lo" I stuttered to the wolf but it didn't change its scrutinizing gaze on me.

"I swear, I don't taste good, you can't eat a human, and it is illegal," I explained, Mr. Wolf, and it tilted its head to the side as if, understanding what I was saying. It looked at me like I was crazy.

Suddenly it moved closer to me, I turned my face to my side and shut my eyes so tight. My breathing became so short. I started to have a panic attack and palpitation. I was blacked out as soon as its nose touched the nape of my neck.

I woke up with a bad headache and I could feel the soft silky sheet beneath me. So my encounter with Mr. Wolf was a dream.

I opened my eyes to grey walls.

Hmm, nice room.
