13. Punishment from Bane

     Something at the back of my head told me I was screwed from the way the horrified expression formed on Charlie and Sarah’s faces. The hallway was a bit dark. I could only see the person’s face with the shadows covering the entire view.

I waited as the creature stepped out of the darkness that engulfed around him. Peeking through the corner of my eye was Charlie and Sarah. They were both trembling. It was definitely because of whoever it was.

As the figure moved, I noticed who exactly it was.

Bane.

I hadn’t pictured exactly how he would appear to be but this was all so strange. I took a glance at his face. It was different from what I had come to know, literary. There was a despicable look in his eyes. A look of detest, as if he was determined to cast sorrows
