"Good afternoon miss." Bunmi greets the lightskin lady behind the table not too far from Chief's office.
"Good afternoon Sir, how may I help you?" She asks with a small smile, batting her fake lashes repeatedly at him.
"We're here to see chief Onuh, we have an appointment." He replied with a flirtatious smile and I scowl. Are they really doing this in front of me? How disrespectful!
"He has been expecting you. You may go in." She tells us and without wasting any time or sparing one look at her, I walk away and happily pulled Bunmi with me.
"Why did you pull me away like that?" He asked, sounding a little offended and I hiss.
"Should I have left you there to keep smiling foolishly at the lady instead of focusing on why we're here?" I hiss back at him, earning an incoherent grumble from him but I simply ignored and walked towards chief's office.
