Alexis Chapter 1

“Oh! Not today again.”

A voice belonging to a Lady of about twenty five years old sound from a room which not different from a store. She stood up and looked out from the window, and it was just as expected, it was daybreak already

The Sun was out in the sky, supplying sunlight to the universe, the birds are chirping loudly, and singing with their beautiful sounds, they were all basking in the glory of yht sunlight from the sun, when the lady opened the small window to the store, rat of light also entered into the small room.

Well, that was Alexis, she just woke up from her usual bed, which was more bare floor than it should be called bed, because the bed was as thin as a paper. She stretched her hand, she even turned her neck clockwise, and sound of bone trying to straighten itself was heard.

After she had done her usual thing of twisting her bone, then she noticed the sunlight was brighter than it should be, she frowned first and ran to her mobile phone, she checked the digital clock, and it read 8:00am. Alexis screamed loudly, and hence her complain.

“Oh! Not today, I am so fucking dead.” Alexis said to herself.

Though she sounded very miserable, yet she does not even looked miserable at all, it was more like, her expression was like that of someone under a huge pressure, yet was not even scared nor weary. Actually Alexis knew what awaited her, hence the reason she sounded so miserable.

Quickly she ran out of the bed, she rushed the door and opened the door all in a swiftness, her speed was fast just as a an athlete running a hundred meter, she opened the door, and just as she expected it, she was greeted with something that look like long whip. But because Alexis already expected thus very much, thus she was also prepared for the worse.

Once she sight the long while coming at her direction, Alexis slid on the tilled floor, just like a karate expert, she make a backward flip at the same time, she landed on her feet, just like a professional karate expert, finally she turned around.

"Am sorry ma for waking up late." Alexis said in a flawless tone.

Ahead Alexis and holding the white long whip was a woman who happened to be her fifties, she wore a white transparent lacey night gown, though it was just early in the morning, yet that does not make her look rough. Her flawless skin make her to look younger than her age.

But her look of contempt towards Alexis was enough to agreed that she had a deep hatred for Alexis, because if look could kill, Alexis would have died a hundred times, even the whip in her hand was like the wipe used by the slave master of old, and if that whip had touched Alexis flawless skin, it would caused an unrepairable damage on her skin. But Alexis was ready, hence she escaped the brutality.

"You are sorry you said." Linda voice held much contempt and hatred in it.

The way she was staring dagger at Alexis was so great, it revealed how much of contempt she had against Alexis, it was more like Alexis was her enemy, and she had a deep dark hatred against Alexis.

Yet Alexis was not even disturbed about how Linda was staring dagger at her, instead she keep smiling, the smile which was so flawless, pure and beautiful, that it could topple down kingdom. Clearly Alexis mental strength must be so great, such that she was able to not just fear at such dangerous expression against her, instead found only amusement at such expression.

Alexis smiled bring out the so called hatred inside Linda, in anger she wave the whip once again, her target was against Alexis beautiful face, clearly those smile from Alexis caused Lucy some unpleasant memory, and she wanted to destroyed that memory forever.

Yet Alexis was not just a common or a defenseless kids like that, she was an expert in Karate, Tai chi, Shadowboxing, Muay Thai, and Thai boxing. Thus she was quick enough to removed the rod of a shrub, she used the rod to defended the whip while in the air. The move from Alexis was flawless without any fault or mistake in it, at a point the long whip coiled around the rod, but Alexis make the defend and was unhurt by the whip.

"You want to beat me right.” Linda said in an angry and spiteful tone.

Alexis hand still held the rod. “I am not gonna beat you, but I apologized waking up late, it just that I overworked yesterday at the restaurant." Alexis said all together, while keeping that devilish smile plastered all over her face.

"And what is my concern with that?” Linda said screaming loudly. “Did I murdered your mother? Am I responsible for your father death?”

For the first time Alexis frowned very hard. Though she had a strong mental strength, yet whenever her parent name were mentioned, her strong mental strength she have always failed her, her parent was more like her mental trauma, that inevitable devil which hunt her every night.

Linda saw the changes in Alexis, she also was relighted inside herself. She also knew about Alexis attitude, and she had always wanted to find something to took away all that happiness inside Alexis, but all her attempt were futile, because Alexis was always happy, even when she was turned to a slave, dropped out of school, forced to sleep in the store. But who knew that the unperturbed Alexis would failed at the mentioned of her parent death.

"You don’t kill my parent, but I must say this you. This is still my father house, and I am your stepdaughter." Alexis protested in a plain tone, though she was angry, sad and disturbed. Yet she learn how to control herself.

Linda was also stunned too for a moment, the last time Alexis made a statement like this was over ten years ago, her leg almost gave under her feet, because the way Alexis said each word, she felt like a mouse under the pressure of a mouse. Quickly Linda took back her stance.

"Did you just said stepdaughter?” Linda said in a scornful tone. Linda burst to a wicked laughter, abruptly she stopped and her expression turned grave. “I have never think so, because, I have never seen you as one, and I will never see you as my stepdaughter."

Alexis also laughed sarcastically. “Off course you don't see me as one. That is why in my father house, I am paying house rent only for me to be sleeping in the store room, in my father house, I am sleeping on a matrass that even bare floor was better than it was."

Alexis voice grew louder as she voice out all the aggression she had keep inside herself for the past ten years. She swallowed her anger and continued in a calm tone.

"I also don't see you as my step mother too, because you have never be, and you will never be." Alexis said finally.

Linda least expected this, because the Alexis that she always knee would keep quiet whenever she tried to maltreated her, even though Alexis could dodge all her physical abuse, yet Alexis would always smiled whenever she tried mental abuse.

What baffled Linda was what caused the same Alexis to flare up this morning? It was more like a sleeping dragon who was mighty and domineering, but won’t fought back even at whatever was did to it’s body, all because it was sleeping. But on a day flare up, all because someone just threw water at its body.
