Chapter 3:

I felt my body tremble with the white mist that had come out of the door.

'Click'.

The tall man with the gun pulled the safety of the gun in his hand. I didn't look closely, but I realized that the guns they were holding weren't ordinary at all. I knew nothing about guns, but they carry much bigger weapons than I've ever seen on TV before. The greater the volume, the greater the damage. I dare not dwell on it.

Inside the door was another corridor, glass on either side of my arm. A few men dressed as Alice, one of whom pressed a red button on the wall As soon as he/she pressed the button, I was sprayed with an indescribable odor. The low temperature caused by the gas sent a shiver down my spine.

“Relax, Sweetie, it's just a sanitizer,” Alice held me firmly in her arms and dragged me across the door on the other side of the hall, “You will see him later, so please relax, because your irritability may also affect him and cause us unnecessary trouble.”

The next closed door was followed by a gush of gas, which slowly split in the middle. I thought the scene behind the door would be one of a huge, ugly monster held firmly in place by a thick chain. I even closed my eyes in fear when I was dragged through the door.

"Hey, Sweetie, open your eyes," Alice's voice came with a smile.

I took a deep breath and slowly opened my eyes. The scene behind the door is very ordinary. It was exactly like a normal valley scene out there, at night.

There is even a large lake in the middle of the valley. Get confirmed again, the Murphy Institute is very well funded. Can you imagine being moved into a lake in a room made of steel and concrete? An ecosystem of its own. I exclaim.

"It's usually hidden in the water." Alice dragged me a few steps forward.

I came to my senses. A wooden boat, floating on the calm surface of the lake. Everything was so quiet that I could hear the faint rustle of their coats. And it all seemed like a calm before the storm.

Alice walked up to the wooden boat first and put her hand in the water. The water ripples spread from the bottom of the boat, “All right, Cara. Come here.”

“What are you doing?” I step by step to move towards her.

There was a brief laugh from the respirator, “I'm telling it we're coming.”

When I heard this, I suddenly felt my calf begin to cramp up slightly.

“I'm just kidding. it has a mild personality. Don't worry about it~”

If your guys could pull back your guns, do not point them at the water, maybe I would trust you.

The other three, after boarding the boat, were sitting in the stern and front of the boat, carrying their guns, eyes fixed on the scope scanning the water.

"Okay, we're going to the center of the lake," Alice untied the mooring line, picked up the wood pulp in the boat, and began to paddle in the water. The boat slowly moved toward the middle of the lake.

When the boat began to row, I realized that the lake was much bigger than what I had seen on the shore. I leaned against the side of the boat and looked out over the lake. The shallow water was clear and visible, but the deep water was dark like a black hole that swallowed everything that came near it, "Did your guys build this?"

"No, it was during excavation that we discovered an underground layer of water that eventually led to the formation of a lake." Alice glanced at me, then quickly turned her eyes back to the water. I could feel her nervousness without pulling down her mask.

We sat on the boat and circled the lake many times back and forth. In the beginning, I was very scared, but then my nerves began to relax in this boating game, and eventually I started slapping the water, "Ms. Alice, is he napping?"

Alice froze for a moment, then walked from the bow to the center, opened the box in the middle of the boat, and took out a few small, lively fish. She cut the fish's belly with her knife, red blood flowed from the fish. And then she threw the struggling fish into the water. Red blood runs through the water.

My heart pounding became so loud, my eyes involuntarily stared at the fish disappeared place.

One two three four five…Until the fish completely disappeared and disappeared, the lake returned to its calm, the amazing creatures still did not appear.

I'm a little disappointed. I remember a few years ago when my father and I were tracking killer whales at sea. We were doing the same thing: following the shoals of fish in the ocean. In the extreme winter environment, I hide on the ice, day after day waiting for them to appear. God knows how much I love its black-and-white appearance. The sad thing was we waited for two months like two idiots. Nothing happened, the sea was very calm. In the end, when we connected to the Internet, the fish changed their migration route because of global warming.

It seems that I will return empty-handed this time. I am a bit fidgety clap a boat side, and the palm of my hand came a tingling feeling, “what deuced bad luck!” I looked at my hand: The sawdust into my hand. Blood gushed from the small cut. I pulled the sawdust out of my hand. With a flick of my index finger, the sawdust into the water.

"It looks like we're going to get nowhere today." Alice returned to the bow, prepared to row the boat back to shore.

The lake in front of me suddenly gave out a lot of bubbles, "A…Alice!! "

“What is going on?” She replied to me.

Other small bubbles immediately behind, like boiling water bubble out of the general.

“Oh, my Gosh! Bring the gun to me!” Alice screamed. “There it is!! !”

I had never seen her scream like that.

The wooden boat rose and fell as if it were sailing on a stormy sea. I was so terrified that I could hear my teeth grinding and shaking. When the killer whale surfaces, the bubbles are just a small area of its blowhole.

But this, I took a look at the bubbling area.

“How... how big Is It?”
