Avianna's Point of View
"You also have to be careful towards the mean girls here. You know, the queen wannabe?"
I raised an eyebrow, "There's still people like that here?"
"Of course! This is a prestigious school. Do you think students here get along? No. Most of the students here only had their pack as their friends. It's rare to see them being close to other packs."
I nodded in understanding, "is that so?"
"Yeah. You should have your pack as soon as possible! It's hard being alone here. Most of those outcasts couldn't take the bullying that mean people threw on them so they left."
I shuddered at the thought. "But the headmaster said it doesn't get that far?"
"He had no idea about it. Those students that are dropping out because they're bullied won't just tell it to the teachers. They just dropped out for other reasons. That's how afraid they are of their bullies."
"I thought that's just in a drama," I muttered.
"I thought so too. But I guess money really does that to people even outside dramas and movies," she said. "Are you done?" Marrah asked me from her bed.
"Yeah," I replied, closing my closet after piling my clothes inside, then I walked back to my bed.
She beamed happily, sitting up to her bed and facing me, "Come on! I'll introduce you to our pack!"
My eyes widened, "Uh... it's fine. I'll just stay here."
"Eh, no way! Don't worry, my friends are nice! They'll accept you immediately," she said.
I shook my head, "I'm really fine. I'm not great at socializing so I don't think I can match with you."
"Nonsense! I'm there, so socializing is not a problem! And didn't I tell you my friends are nice? So let's get your ass out here!"
Before I could even protest, she quickly pulled me out of the room. She's a bit stronger than me so I couldn't really fight back even if I wanted to. In the end, I just let myself be pulled.
Geez. I just hope I won't meet either of them along the way.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Our Alpha had gathered us to meet at the gymnasium. He wanted to say something," Marrah answered.
"Then why would you bring me there if it's a pack gathering?!"
"I'll just introduce you to them so if you want to ask something and I'm not here, you can go ask them! It's better if you knew someone here, you know," Marrah explained.
I just sighed in defeat.
As we headed towards the gymnasium, I noticed the students looking in our direction. I wanted to hide myself right there and then. They must've seen the incident earlier which is why they're looking at me, especially knowing I have the top Alphas as my... mates.
News does spread like a wildfire here, huh? Everyone, as in everyone, were looking at us and Marrah noticed it too.
"They're staring at us," she mumbled.
"Maybe because you're too pretty," I tried to lighten up the mood, and also to divert Marrah's attention away because I didn't want her to know I'm the girl in the rumor spreading around the whole campus.
She chuckled, "have you seen yourself in the mirror? You're way prettier than every other girl here, Avi. Including me."
I can feel my cheeks burning in embarrassment as I playfully pushed her shoulder, "Stop exaggerating. I've seen a lot of pretty girls before, including you."
"I'm not exaggerating! You're that pretty," she said.
I just playfully rolled my eyes,
When we reached the gymnasium, she just pushed the door open and pulled my wrist as she headed inside. In the middle of the court, there were students sitting in a circle. There weren't that many as I expected. Three girls and four boys. The guy earlier whom Marrah said is named Kayne wasn't there.
"If you're looking for Kayne, you won't see him here," Marrah mumbled to me.
"I'm not actually looking for him, but why is he not here? Aren't the two of you in the same pack?"
She smiled, a different kind compared to the ones she showed me earlier. It was rather a sad one.
"We're in a different pack," she responded.
"H-huh? But you two seemed so close," I said.
"It's because we are. We hang out most of the time so we're a lot closer than we are to our respective packs. We've been friends since we're children. Do you think our pack can break us apart like that?"
I nodded, "It's great then." I replied, remembering what she told me earlier about students here being aloof towards other packs that they don't belong to.
She just flashed me another sad smile.
"Hey, guys! I have someone to introduce to you!" Marrah suddenly yelled, gaining the attention of all the people in the middle.
We stopped right in front of them. I tried to hide myself behind Marrah but she firmly held me beside her.
"She's a transferee and my roommate! Be nice to her! She doesn't know anyone here," Marrah brightly said.
Then her friends stood up and approached, introducing themselves one by one in a very bright manner just like how Marrah did. I blushed once in a while because they kept on complimenting me with Marrah saying from behind 'I told you!'
They all pushed me to sit down, saying that I should stay while their Alpha still hadn't arrived. Although I wanted to leave, I couldn't just decline their offer no matter how polite. It just felt so rude.
I just silently listened to their bickering and gossip. It was fun, especially that they tried to include me from time to time, probably to not make me feel like an outsider although I really am. I appreciated it. They're really nice like what Marrah said. I considered staying for a while since I don't really have anything to do.
Not until they brought up the topic I've been dreading to hear.
"Do you think Mirco called us here because he wanted to introduce his mate to us?" Lyannah, one of the girls asked.
"I think so too," Ashton agreed. "He's so excited to meet his Luna. I don't think he'll be able to stop himself from introducing her to us."
"Let's bet that he'll mark her as soon as they're alone! " Sheen laughed, giving Ashton and the other boys a high-five while the girls snickered.
"Stop that, Sheen! She's our Luna. Respect her," Zylene reprimanded him, making Sheen pout.
"But didn't you hear what the students were saying? If Mirco will introduce us to his mate, then that means it's also Zen's mate. Remember, they have the same mate?" Marrah wondered.
"Gosh. I think the Moon Goddess is really playing with them, huh? Two top Alphas in this school, having the same mate."
I held my breath when it finally dawned on me what they're talking about, and whom they are pertaining to.
Does that mean... their Alpha is one of my mates?
Fuck.
I abruptly stand up, startling the people beside me.
"What's wrong?" Marrah worriedly asked.
I smiled awkwardly, "I... I have to do something. I just remembered that I left—" I couldn't finish what I was supposed to say when the entrance of the gymnasium burst open, revealing a familiar frowning man striding towards our direction. The scent of sandalwood spread across the whole gymnasium, making my heart pound loudly as I felt my skin itching and the antsy feeling returned.
He stopped on his track when our eyes met. His bright green eyes stared intently at mine again.
"You..." He muttered, his voice deep and cold.
I gulped nervously as I spun around and ran at the opposite side.
"Fuck, stop running away!" He yelled in a frustrated voice but again, I ignored it.
I could feel his pack's surprised stare at me. I even met Marrah's eyes, her lips wide open.
But I ignored it. I think I'll just explain to her later in our room. For now, I have to get out of here.
So I continued to run at the fire exit, only to stop on my track when it opened loudly. A man furiously entered, his face contorted into a frown. The scent of peppermint hit my nose again as my heart dropped.
When his blue eyes met mine, I felt cold dread all over my body.
"You..." He muttered.
I gulped nervously as I turned around, but the green-eyed boy was standing a few meters away from where I was. When I looked back, the blue-eyed boy was just standing on his spot, eyes trained on me.
I sighed in frustration.
"Stop running," the green-eyed boy said.
"You can't escape again," the blue-eyed boy said.
I felt a lump forming in my throat as they both stepped towards my direction, their scent getting heavy and my heart pounding so loudly against my chest that I think it'll burst out any moment by now.
I took a step backwards as they stepped closer to me.
"You're my mate," they simultaneously blurted out.
I heard the loud gasp of Marrah and her friends, but I couldn't look at them.
Not when their mystical eyes were intently staring at me, as if they'd devour me any moment by now.
My inner wolf was screaming at me to just surrender, accept my fate.
I sighed in defeat. Moon Goddess, why must you give me this kind of fate?
Avianna's Point of ViewThe atmosphere was getting too much, it's making it hard for me to breathe properly. I tried to calm my raging heartbeat and my inner wolf that's wanting to burst out."I don't know why you're running away, but you can't do that again right now," the blue-eyed guy said."Listen," I started, glancing at the two of them. "I just met the two of you today. We are basically strangers despite what we found out earlier. So don't act all 'alpha' to me right now.""But it's not right to just run away from your alpha," the blue-eyed guy retorted.I scoffed, "I know, but do you expect me to just run to your arms after discovering I have t
Avianna's Point of View"Rise and shine, my dear Luna!"I groaned when I felt someone shaking my body while yelling those words repeatedly. It made me open my eyes even if my body was opposed to waking up. But I couldn't continue sleeping if my roommate is this loud and pesky."I'm up, I'm up," I said in a hoarse voice, yawning afterward as I stretched my arms."Great! You need to stand up now so we can eat breakfast," Marrah said."What time is it?" I asked."It's near seven o'clock."My eyes widened, "Seven o'clock? It's too early
Avianna's Point of ViewI looked at myself in the mirror for the fifth time this morning since I woke up. I just couldn't get enough of how pretty our uniform is. It looks like the one I see on the internet. It has an aesthetic vibe on it. White uniform with a small, stripe blue bow tucked inside my pencil blue skirt, and then a jacket on top of it.Although I'm not particularly fond of skirts, the design makes up for it. So I was satisfied."Are you done checking out yourself?"I looked behind me and saw Marrah walking in my direction, looking all pretty in her own uniform."Yeah. I love it. It's pretty," I said.
Avianna's Point of View"Room 114... Room 115... Room 116... Room 117! Finally!"I breathed out a sigh of relief once I finally saw my designated room for this school year. I've been looking for it for almost fifteen minutes. Good thing Marrah woke me up early or else I'd be late.I took another deep breath before knocking on the door. Just a few seconds later, the door opened and a man who seemed just in his early thirties welcomed me."Yes?" He asked with a polite smile."Good morning. Is this Professor Brook's advisory class?" I asked politely. He suddenly beamed, "It is! You must be the transfe
Avianna's Point of View"How's the first day? What do you think?" Marrah asked me once I entered our dorm room.I went straight to my bed and plopped myself on it, "It was better than in my previous school.""Why?" She asked.I glanced at her, "In my previous school, there's not a day that no one fights. On my first day there, someone was already sent to the infirmary."Her lips parted in surprise at the same time her eyes widened, "Really? It's that bad?"I nodded, "Because it's a school for all creatures."Her eyes widened even more, "Wo
Avianna's Point of View"I'm really sorry, Joshua. I didn't know they were there and that they'll attack you like that. I'm sorry," I kept on apologizing to Joshua while putting some ointment on his bruise even though it'll heal in an hour or so.He smiled, "it's fine. I understand their anger and jealousy. Both of them are Alphas so it's understandable for them to be possessive of their mate."I rolled my eyes, "still, that doesn't give them the right to attack you like this! I'll give them an earful for this."Joshua chuckled at what I said, only to wince at the pain."It'll heal in an hour," I said while putting back the ointment back to where I got it.&
Avianna's Point of ViewI'm so tired. It's just been hours ever since I agreed to be friends with Mirco and Zen but I'm already regretting my decision. For Lyca's sake, they have been following me around everywhere I go! They were sticking to me like a glue! I couldn't even talk to the others because they kept on taking my attention. What's making me annoyed is that they're competing with my attention. Whenever one of them would talk to me, the other one would rudely interrupt and interject. I can't have one peaceful conversation without anyone interrupting. That annoyed the heck out of me.So in the end, I chose to just stay silent. I saw Marrah and the ot
Avianna's Point of View"Don't you really have any friends aside from me? You're always with me. Aren't you getting sick of my face?" I asked Joshua when he sat beside me on the field. I didn't spare him a glance. My eyes were just trained on the students playing football.I heard him chuckle, "I already told you, I have no friend aside from you. I don't want to hang out with other students here, I prefer your company. And no, I don't get sick of seeing your face.""You don't really want to meet the others? I think you'd click with them," I said.Joshua shook his head, "Nah. Maybe not now. Have you seen the way they glared at me last time when they saw how you held my wrist?"
