Chapter 2

About a few weeks of my store being open, I've been having people left and right coming in and asking for my coffee. Some would just come in and use the wifi or watch the news when it was on to pass the time. But I didn't care, what they were doing as long as they were coming in.

My first few nights, it was okay, it was slow but only because I just opened. I wasn't expecting it to be busy.

My family came and saw the shop and said that they told all their friends about this place and they've even put it on their F******k. Which was a great idea. So I done the same thing. I went to make a page and a group of my business and even paid the money to broadcast it all over. I've even put it in the papers at some of the newspaper companies and after about my 3rd week, I was bringing in business. It was all unbelievable how fast this was coming along.

By my 2nd month, I hired two people. One to help cook the foods that I had put on the menus which was small easy stuff for now. One to help with the coffee and teas while I ran the store. We was doing so well.

By us doing so well, I had threw a little party for us; a pizza party. It was after hours so it was great to use the store. Until a guy came in the store asking for directions. I thought I locked the door but I didn't, so I had offered him help and something to drink and a slice of pizza. The guy was very nice and dressed very business like as well.

Something in him, I don't know to describe it but I was drawn to it. His beauty was well made for him. His body, was all toned out what I could see through his clothes. His hair was a little shaggy but it was cute.

I was gonna ask him something but he got a phone call and had to excuse himself out the door after us helping him.

I signed and my crew laughed at me. They probably knew what was feeling.

"Girl, you just met him and already wanting to jump his bones." Kylie said laughing.

"Hey, its been awhile okay. And he was so damn fine though." I had said.

"He was fine though," Kyle said.

We all looked at him, no more like staring in shocked.

"I'm gay remember." He said.

"Shit," me and Kylie said together. "We forgot."

Then we all laughed together. After that night, I've thought about him every single day, hoping would come back in.

A few weeks later, I was in the back, ordering stuff for the shop when Kyle and Kylie came running back to my office telling he was back. I jumped up so fast that, I knocked over my desk chair and ran to the front. But stopped to look in the little mirror to check myself out. After j fixed myself a little, I calmly walked to the counter and spoke.

"Hello, welcome to Carrie's corner. How can I help you?" I had asked.

"I'll take your triple shot espresso and your cream filled donut." He said as he smiled at me.

I smiled back before I told him his total. "That will be $15 even." I told him.

"Really, I thought it would be more."

"Nope, I try to make it cheap here as possible but still make a dollar off the products." I said as I grabbed a cup for his coffee.

I would ask him for his name but he's the only one here right now since its late and its almost closing time.

About a few moments of making his coffee and getting his donut in a little bag, I handed it to him. When I handed him his order, he touched my hand and we locked eyes. After I left go, he out a $5 bill in the tip jar, smiled then walked out the door. Even after he walked out the door, he looked back at me and we locked eyes once again and smiled before walking away.

I just wanted to scream for what just happened. I'm such a girl right. A girl that's in heat, more like. Teenage girl love sickness.

Kyle and Kylie both squealed and clapped for me. I looked at them and smiled so big that I thought my cheeks would fall off. I dragged my feet back to my office and sat down in my hair and spun around a few times. I felt like a princess just meeting her prince charming for the 1st time. Is this how Cinderella felt meeting her prince charming.

Both my coworkers just laughed and giggled at me for how I was feeling. It was great to have a crew like them.

"If you don't get him girl, Ima snatch him right up." Kyle said making me laugh a little.

"Kyle is right, Carrie. Next time he comes in, ask him for his name and number. Its fate that he came back." Kylie said.

"Its fate all right. Who knew he was gonna come back at all after that night." I said as I finished up my work.

After that, I made sure I looked cute and presentable at work just for him. Just hope he shows back up.
