As Araceli walked back to her car, Rafael asked her, "Did you get to talk to Franco?" "No," she replied, tears welling up in her eyes. "I saw him with his wife and I just couldn't bring myself to approach them." Rafael put his arm around her and said, "It's okay. You don't have to put yourself through that. Let's just go home." Araceli nodded in agreement. As they got in the car and drove away, she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. She was heartbroken that Franco was with someone else. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," Rafael said as they drove. "It's not your fault," Araceli replied. "I just need some time to process everything." "Take all the time you need," Rafael said. "I'm here for you, no matter what." Araceli smiled weakly and leaned her head on the car's window. .... As Rafael drove past the highway, I was reminded of the first time I boarded the a bus with Franco. I fell asleep on his arms and he gently caressed my hair until we reached our destination.
Araceli reached for the envelope and opened it, there were pictures of her and Franco from the past. Fearful moans escaped her lips as she threw the pictures on the bed. The muscles of her bottleneck stiffened. "This was twelve years ago Francisco." She tried to hide the fear underneath her breath."But you never made mention of it Araceli, are you you trying to fool me?" Francisco's gaze darkened as he walked nigher to her."This shouldn't be a reason for you to think that I'm against you Francisco. We made a deal, and I will do exactly what you ask of me, no feelings attached. This is purely business." She said to him."I don't believe you."

"I've got great news for you and a bad one too." A tall man dressed in a dark grey suit said to the woman, who was seated on a sun lounger beside the pool. He was large with ripped muscles with his hair pulled into a neat ponytail. One could tell he was a hard man even though he was elegantly dressed. He has a blank expression on his face as he stood staring down at the woman watching him with steel-blue eyes. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she waited for him to reveal to her what he had to say."I found Franco." He finally let out."You did?" Her lips parted in shock as the name registered in her mind, memories of times past flickered before her eyes making her heart beat even faster with each breath she took."Finally." She mumbles to herself, smiling and gently tapping her chest as she recalls it all, the one whom her heart yearns for, the man whom she owes her every breath. Her childhood love-Franco was alive. He was the most beautiful part of her past but yet, the most painful mem
"Promise me, Franco, promise you will never leave me." Seventeen years old Araceli curled her right fingers into fists releasing just the littlest. She points it at Eighteen years old Franco waiting for him to cross his around hers for a pinky promise. "I promise I won't ever leave or abandon you." Franco crossed his finger around hers as she expected. Her giggles echo in the air as he pulls her closer for a hug. He placed his lips on her forehead and whispered in her ears-"I won't ever let myself lose you. This is my promise to you, Ayla." He wraps his hands around her slender waist, gently laying her back on the ground as he leans on her. Moonlight spilled over her body revealing her pale skin as they made love in an uncompleted building that they called home for four years.A home to Franco and Ayla and not the Araceli Castaneda she has become. But here he was, walking past her like she was a ghoul. There was an imposing distance and iciness in his cold but charming brown eyes.
Araceli was rooted to the spot as she watched them drive out of the parking lot. Her eyes reddened, with tears dripping like a cascade. "Araceli?" Francisco tugged her arm, snapping his fingers at her eyes, but she didn't flinch. He could see the tears as they flow helplessly on her cheeks, wetting her cherry-painted lips. Her tears caused tremors through his spine, making him instantly pull her closer for a hug. He didn't know what else he could do.Francisco didn't ask what had happened, to him, it wasn't important. He cared more about her state of mind, and if she ever deems him worthy to share her problems, he was prepared to lend her his ears and whatever help she might need.Araceli's frame shuddered, her head laid on Francisco's broad chest as she wails remorsefully. The past twelve years she spent, making bad choices with hopes to find Franco, but it wasn't worth it. Franco has proved he never deserved her love, and the pain was excruciating."Get me out of here!" She w
