Chapter 4: White Lotus

"I knew it."

It was just a very brief sentence yet it frightens me. So he knew all along. He's been doubting and observing me all along. Since when? Since college? There are plenty of question I wanna ask that I can't put into words because of my heat. 

Chuckle so deep and seductive but I came to hate it so hard I could vomit. I hissed as I bend back, staying out of his way as he came closer. I heard him sigh and forcefully grabbed me by the shoulder.

"I've been observing you intently, Bryle. You've been denying this from me all along."

I do not get his point to why should I tell him. I hate humans, they aren't trustworthy, they're a beast. That's enough reason for me to keep it from him. I tried to wriggle out of his grip but he's too strong or I am just too weak. 

"Let go." I stuttered but he just pulled me closer making me shock. My hand flew on it's own as my long and sharp finger nails scratched his face.

I do not have enough time to think and was about to run away but to my surprise, he hugged me tightly even though it feels uncomfortable. 

"It's okey, dont be scared. I won't harn you." his voice was soothing as his fingers caresses my locks, making me calm a bit but the fact that I'm in heat, it still feels uncomfortable to be held by him when I needed that man instead.

"Please… Archer, take me home." I said weakly, begging him because I badly want a release. I felt him groan as he search for a coat and hat and put it on me to hide my ears and tails, carried me in his car and brought me home. 

"Shit!" I heard Imani cursed when she saw my state. She instantly grabbed me from Bryle and growl at him, protecting me from humans since she knows my past.

"Don't be too cautious at me ma'am. I did not harm him or anything. I won't do such thing to my boss." 

I do not heard anything from Imani at that part as I kept snuggling at her neck and I heard the door closing. She carried me up to my room even though I'm too heavy for her strength to handle. I do not want her to get exhausted because of me but the feelings right now is so troublesome. My fingers weakly reaching out for my suit and slowly removing them. Thankfully, Imani was a cheetah trait anthromorph, we easily reach my room. 

"Oh my god Aki, what's happening to you." she mumbled, panicking as she searched for my suppressant.

"Come on, take this." 

She held my head up and force me to swallow the pill as she went to fetch some water and guided me to drink it. She sighed and swept her hair back as she left to give me a bit of privacy. I hurriedly, hastily pleasured my self once more, a couple strokes and thrust inside as I released my self once, though it's not satisfying, I'm grateful enough that my unwanted and sudden heat subsided because of the suppressant. I panted so hard as tears roll out from my eyes. My sense coming back, a lot of scene nor situation are mostly forgotten during my heat because my sense became foggy. 

After a few minutes, my sister came in, face filled with worriedness making me feel bad. How much am I suppose to worry her?

"Are you feeling alright?" she asked as she sat beside me.

"Kinda." I answered. "Just calming a bit and I'll be completely fine, again."

"Why do you keep getting heats this month, Aki? Something is wrong, just tell me. I want to help you if I can." she says reassuringly. I hesitated first because I don't want her to get involve in my own problems anymore but the way she looks at me makes me want to open up and my hesitation vanish.

"Imani, I found my destined mate." She was relieved and her eyes gleamed from what I've said.

"That's great Aki! Finally you found yours. Ahhh I thought someone drugged you or what. Thank goodness—"

"Imani." I called her out, cutting her off as she waited for me to continue.

"He's a human." 

Astounded by the words I've said, and so as confusion. I can not blame her, I was confuse too on how my destined mate to be a human. 

"What the hell, man! A human? How'd that happen?" 

"I do not know either. I wanted to find out." 

"Then, let's find someone who can answer our question. I'll help you." she said and I smiled at her. I'm just so lucky that they're the one who adopted me.

"Wait, I've heard that most anthromorphs lived in a deep forest. Maybe we can look for it and ask. Maybe they can answer your problem." she said and flicker her fingers. I tried to think about it for a moment.

"Yes we can, but after my deal with my business project." 

"Okey, but wait. Who's your destined mate?" I forgot to tell her, I can already guess what she's about to tell me next.

"My…" I hesitated for a bit. "My…business partner." 

"What!? Aki, you need to cancel the proposal with him now! You need to put your safety first, damn it!" I knew it.

"But Imani, he has the best proposal. You know how important my company is, I don't want to neglect it."

"But—"

"I'll be careful Imani. I would take suppressant immediately. After our project, I'll cut our ties." I can hear my inner wolf whimpering from the thought. 

'I'm sorry, you know how dangerous humans are to us anthromorphs right?' I told my inner wolf and heard my sister sigh.

"Okey fine but you have to make time. We need to find out about this problem of yours. Now rest."

"Okey, thank you once again Imani."

"You also helped me couple of times when I'm in heat dude hahaha."

                  "Third Person's P.O.V."

From the very deep and dark alleyway, lights are dim and filthy, a heavy pant can be heard. There stayed a rustling person, disappointed and hungry. Oh how much he have wanted to scraped that porcelain skin and broke him apart. Eyes gleaming in unsatisfied ecstasy.

"I'll have you all by myself soon, Bryle Akihiko Alinsky."
