“What were you doing at that school's meeting today?". Shaun asked the moment he opened the door for me to get in. He didn't even notice how much I dressed up for him. I even had to risk getting caught by Asher. If I hadn't been smart enough to slip away without him noticing, I would have been more than dead.

“Well, it's nice to meet you too Shaun," I said in sarcasm as I walked inside the house fully. “I was dropping off my sister's child and I had to stay for the meeting"

I had to lie. Saying the truth was not an option.

“Don't you own jexs? What do you need the school for".

“It's complicated" With the way, his face changed when he said those words, I could tell he was annoyed. He settled on one of the couches and I sat down next to him.
