Thud! I fell off of my bed at the sound of my alarm, which was a mixture of a creepy laugh and a scream from a horror movie. "Damn it." I'd originally set it that way to make sure I don't fall back asleep but for the past week I've been scared into waking up. Not that am complaining it's actually helped me be able to go to school earlier than usual. I got up and headed to my tiny bathroom, the smell of mold eating away at it. The tiles were already cracking and green stuff was growing within them. I hurried to take a bath and went into my drawer for fresh clothes. Not that I had many, only five pairs of jeans and a few tops here and there. Life wasn't that good to me. I grew up an orphan with no one to take care of me. By the time I turned fourteen I left the pack house because nobody wanted me there and I got constantly bullied. I had to take on any jobs I could find just to survive. The only advantage I have is that being a werewolf, I can attend school on their scholarship program. It was brought so that every one of us was educated and trained for the werewolf life. Sounds cliché but that's what Mrs Peterson told me the day I wanted to drop out and fend for myself. I looked at the watch and saw I still had an hour before school started. I grabbed a pair of worn out blue jeans and a black T-shirt, along with my old sneakers and grabbed my back pack heading down the stairs. The school bus didn't reach this side of the town considering it's condition and the fact that no one would expect a teenager to live in such an environment. I arrived with twenty minutes to spare and headed towards my locker to retrieve my books. As I turned I bumped into someone, Natasha, the daughter of the former beta. "Don't you have eyes!" She screamed at me as she looked in disgust. "With a body like yours am not surprised you can't even walk properly." Her friends laughed as they stared amused. "Am sorry," was all I mumbled . I felt ashamed as people stared at me. I don't know why she hated me. I've never done anything to offend her but whenever she spots me it's like I am her number one enemy. She had been like that from the very beginning. First she just gave me ugly looks from a distance then she started attacking me with insults and pranks. One time I was invited to the pack house by a boy who I bumped into. When she found me there with him she slapped me so hard it left a mark. Then she reported me to her dad that I was stealing. He didn't punish me because there was no evidence but it made her to hate me even more. The bullying got so much worse that I decided to move out and find a place of my own. But despite that she still keeps making things hard for me. She was about to say something until Michael showed up. "Is everything okay here?" he asked with a stern voice. "Everything's fine."Natasha replied in a high pitched voice that wasn't really pleasant to listen to. It's obvious she was interested in him and expected to become the future luna. Ya Michael is our pack's alpha. He's only seventeen but has managed to accomplish so much in the two years he has been alpha. He gave her a nod before glancing at me, a hint of worry in his eyes. Maybe it's just pity because of my situation. Before anything else could happen the bell rang and I quickly walked to my class.Alexis's pov I ended up in the infirmary more times than I would have liked to admit. Dorian was iron clad. Throughout these past weeks I'd only managed to throw a few punches and kicks here and there, though some of them seemed to cause him some sort of pain, which was still a win. But I had also noticed how much stronger I had gotten. My body moved faster and my attacks were more spot on. If I continued like this I'd be unstoppable. We also got to shift and learn to fight in our wolf form. At first I was uncomfortable, thinking that they too would look at my wolf form with disgust and tell me she's ugly, but it was far from it. They were actually amazed and shocked at how beautiful my wolf was, which was a contradiction to how Natasha had viewed her. I also noticed that I was noticeably bigger than all the wolves around me, even Dorian, all but Mason who was just as big as me. But his form was never a surprise since he was an alpha and they basically grew bigger and larger
Michael's pov I had stayed curled up on the floor for a while before realizing I had made a mistake. Why did I let her go? Why didn't I just hold on to her and stop her from leaving. We belong together. The moon goddess gave me the one thing I craved for and I let it go just like that- I let her go. I got up in a daze and drove back to the pack house. Instead of going straight to my room I went to the fifth floor, at the very end of the hall and knocked on the door. A middle aged woman opened the door. She had the same blue eyes and dark hair as mine. These past months had made her age over a decade, the youthful joy in her soul now an empty shell. "Mom." I said as I hugged her. She let me inside the room that was dark and smelt heavily of herbs and blood, despite looking completely clean. "Any improvement?" I asked even though I already knew the answer. "Not yet." She said it like she was certain things would get better eventually - like he would wake up an
Alexis's pov. The day went by so fast that I didn't even realize it was already getting dark. Rebecca sat next to me at a bench near the park where we were. Loads of shopping bags were laid next to our feet, most of them belonging to me.I don't know if it was okay for us to spend this much money just because Mason gave us his card to use. I actually wanted to buy only a few clothes but Rebecca insisted that we buy as many as possible since, and I'm quoting her words. "A girl can never have too many clothes." We'd literary gone to another town just to check out what she called new trendy stock. I had never once put too much thought in what I wore or what was trending in that particular moment but I guess there is a first time for everything. Rebecca was typing frantically on her phone like a maniac, clearly upset with whoever she was texting. Not long after a car pulled up in front of us and I recognized the boy behind the wheels since I had seen him at the pack house ear
Gideon's pov. I sat on my throne and watched as my men tore through Cyrus, one of the elders of the former white wolf pack. It wasn't easy finding the old bastard. He'd been leaving us trails all over different places. We even flew out to different states only to hit a dead end. But we finally found him, hiding within Moon crest pack. He was spying on some girl named Alexis. I figured she must be someone of importance and so I made a deal with those filthy rogues to spy on her and find out if she is something special in any way- in return I'd offer them supplies for their survival, to which they gladly agreed. They spent eight months trailing her only to find out she's a nobody cast away by her own pack. Last I heard she ran away and even her own mate did not care to stop her. How pathetic. But I had no time to ponder over such useless things. What I really wanted was to get my hands on the lunar essence, a power so strong it would make me a god among every werewolf. No one would
