Chapter sixty four: remembering

When I finally finished the legs of the pixie, the doors to my training room slid open. I ignored the sound of multiple feet entering the room as I focused my magic on his hand, trying to rejoin his wrist to the rest of the arm.

"So this is why I was kept waiting." Valedria said, his footsteps moving closer. I could tell they were expensive by the sound on the tiled floors.

"I tried to tell her, but you know how she is once she makes a decision." Kaiser said with a sigh. "She was looking forward to helping this young pixie all morning."

"What happened to him?"

"Murdered, all large bones of his body mangled and he was strangled."

Valedria was silent for a moment, allowing me to have full concentration on my task. I was feeling tired, but those were the side effects of excessive healing. Awakening him will take a much larger toll on me, but it will all be worth it.

"So this serial killer is here in the North too."
