Isolde.

The pit was the last place Isolde would willingly step into. It held a bad memory for her, and yet the lord had commanded her to be there.

Isolde, of course, would have refused to obey his orders, but she wouldn’t dare defy him now, at least not when her sister’s life was on the line. So, she dutifully obeyed him. Dressed in a tiny spaghetti dress with a plunging neckline, she made her way out of the tower.

When she passed the grounds, her eyes flicked to the place she sat with Carldo earlier. The male was only teaching her Abbator’s dance steps, only for Draco to come and ruin everything.

He always ruined things for her. Isolde remembered how Carldo had jittered when Draco towered over him. He whispered something to him, and Isolde was wondering what that was.

He had this strange look on his face at that moment Isolde couldn’t read it. But it was borderline dark, like he was going to murder Carldo.

Why would he be looking that way? She wondered. Well, whatever the look was, i

IsoldeIsolde stood frozen as the faceless male circled her. Her eyes were fixed on the flickering candle.“You weren’t killed in the Viper’s Mouth even when it was filled with Duskthorn, a substance known to be harmful to your kind,” she felt him roaming around. His presence sent chills down her spine, yet she couldn’t resist it. The magical tea had turned her into a statue that could not move.“It made me wonder, breeder, if you’re really human,” his voice turned lower, conspiratorial. “Or if you’re like him, a wraithling.”Isolde gasped for breath. The male moved back in front of her and hummed. “I am sorry, but I have to do this. It’s the only way I can know Dracolian isn’t alone. That he isn’t a monster.”He released a burdened breath and reached for Isolde’s hand, pressing his thumb into her knuckle. Dark eyes stared into hers, shimmering under the candle flames.“I made a promise to my sister to always stand by Dracolian no matter what, wrong or right…” His heavy heart thudded.

Draco.Draco was enjoying watching Titanus teach the new gladiators how to become mortal gods. The training ground was littered with bare-chested males sparring and fighting under Titanus’ command.Draco casually watched them from the veranda that overlooked the gladiators’ den. He wrinkled his nose when one of the gladiators crushed his opponent’s nose, drawing massive blood.Titanus smacked his whip over the ground, urging the gladiators to fight harder. The swinging and clacking of the wooden training swords echoed in the air.At least, Draco was seeing an improvement in their fighting skills. It hadn’t been up to a week since the intense training began. That sort of gave Draco hope concerning the Blood Summit. The rogue Lycans were bound to win awards like they used to.The chorus of laughter had Draco looking down again, surprised to see one of the gladiator’s subligaria had been ripped open by the training sword of his opponent. The male swiftly pulled his hands to his groin, co

Isolde“So, I’m going to finish all these?” Isolde looked at Carldo and asked. He had just brought her into the library in the tower to learn how to read and write.According to him, that’s part of her training as the Luna. It was on the tip of her lips to say this Luna title and the training that comes with it are tiring, however, she held it in.It was only temporary, she consoled herself.“Uh-huh. There will come a time when you’ll need to write reports and letters as expected of a Luna,” Carldo informed, beaming at her. Isolde pursed her lips, listening to him as he spoke. They moved deeper into the large library, her eyes bouncing over the leather-bound books and scrolls on the floor-to-ceiling shelves. There were workers there, arranging books and cleaning the shelves and the floor. They all gave her scorching sidelong glances, but Isolde had really grown a thick skin for those hateful glances. She ignored them all and moved along with Carldo. They advanced to the far side of

Draken. His face curled into a huge smile at the sight of the male. His Lithe, that was what Draken called him. His brunette hair matted over his face as he stood and ogled Draken.“Won’t I get a hug? Or are you just going to keep staring?” Draken asked with his lips tipped in a smile. The expression on his face caused the male to chortle, and in five swift strides, he flushed himself into Draken’s arms.Draken groaned at the feel of his soft, firm body. It incited him a lot. He loved having to hold the male in his arms. After they hugged for a long time, they broke away and stared at each other.A smile brightened their faces.“My Lithe,” Draken rasped, running his thumbs over the male’s face. His heart hummed with joy. He sucked in the scent of his male. “It’s been ages since we saw each other,” The male confirmed, his round pink lips quirking.“Apparently. You ignored all the ravens I sent,” Draken said, feeling pissed. He put some distance between them to show his anger.“You kno

Draken. The people parted ways for Draken and Agolf as they headed to Merisbeth’s breeding house. The noises of the street vendors, beggars, and peddlers ricocheted through the air.All that, and yet, Draken barely paid attention. In his mind’s eye, all he saw was the nine birthlings the breeders had given birth to for over two months. Draken only paid them a visit once in a blue moon. Before those visits, the instructor would keep the breeders who had given birth for the lord in a special room where they’d wait until it was time for inspection. The inspection time was what the failed breeders feared the most. Draken had never been one to tolerate failure. He always punished the failed breeders in the most barbaric ways known to man, and the punishment always varied depending on his mood.Today, no one knew his mood or the punishment the failed breeders would face. They moved past the bustling streets and markets to the quieter side of Merisbeth. The only noise that could be heard wa

Draken.*Merisbeth, The Demon Clan*Draken walked into his veranda, a goblet of wine in his hand. He’d been drinking like he always did. Even while in the courtroom, in a meeting with the Oldborns, Draken was drinking. He never loved running short of wine or ale.He could vaguely remember the Oldborns telling him to quit whatever agenda he had in toppling the lord of Abbator over occupying the Ice Throne. The demons were never born to rule Bloomington. Only the Throne family according to what the Ice pact dictated.Yet all the words of the Oldborns had fallen on deaf ears like they always did for the past fifty years.Hell’s cock, I’d never give up the claim. To hell with Dracolian Throne. Seven hells to the Oldborns, Draken grunted under his breath. He walked further into the brightly lit veranda, slowly keeping the goblet on the table after emptying it.There was a frail, shaking figure there. She was on her knees, her head bent. His head merchant had informed him about their newest
