MasukChapter 22
Jenna's POV
I kept my head looking in the direction of Liza as I went on, "And if I do, I'll apologize to you again. Now, please excuse me. I think I have embarrassed myself enough." My voice cracked as I yanked my hands out of Jace's hold.
"Jenna..." He sighed, sounding like he fúcked up a great deal.
I didn't stay to analyze his expressions. I strode over to mom and took Jared from her.
"H-he was hungry earlier, mom. I'll... I'll f-feed him and b-bring him back to you."
"Jenna," I didn't wait to hear what she wanted to say.
I was truly feeling very humiliated. Their eyes burned holes in my back as I walked away from there, recalling Liza's words.
She was right about me getting in trouble with Jace. Perhaps, I still have a lot to do before I replace her in Jace's life.
Because it's clear, he still has some sort of feelings for her.

Jace's POV
I watched as she strode away with trembling shoulders. Fúck. I didn't mean it to end like this. Hell, I didn't want this to happen between us.
Our first fight. First ever fight over who? My ex-mistress.
Running a hand through my hair, I gritted my teeth.
"J-jace, I am sorry. I honestly didn't think it would get—"
"No, don't utter a word. Not a single word." I seethed, not turning to look at Liza.
"But, Jace—"
"Don't you get it? Shut up and just go away." I howled.
"Everyone, go back to your work. Martha, please go to Luna Queen." Oakley instructed behind me as I palmed my face.
My body was shaking. Jenna's trembling voice when she forced herself to apologize was playing in my head. I sighed and removed my hands. My gaze landed on my parents. They were giving me a dirty look. One someone would give to a partial husband.
"Mom, dad, I didn't—"
"Let's go, Isabella." Dad placed an arm on mom's shoulder and turned her around.
"Please, listen to me."
"I told you, Jace," Dad said without turning. "Having your wife and your ex-mistress under your roof will never bring happiness to you... Only problems."
Then they walked away. Oakley was still with me. But he also departed when I spun to face him, hoping that he would listen.
"Damn it!"
I snarled and plopped down on the couch, head in my hands.
'You really pushed her to her limits, and for whom exactly? That abominable woman.' Denis hissed in my mind.
No one likes Liza. From my parents to Beta male, the gammas and servants— no one. Not even my own wolf.
I didn't like her before either. Liza can be fake at times. But since I started going to her, using her body and taking what I need; I realized she just craves attention. She doesn't care what kind of attention that is as long as she's getting it.
That being the case, I began to feed it to her. Getting her roses, making her feel like she means something to me, not stopping her when she used to talk about being my Luna Queen or carrying my child. I just stayed quiet and went along, playing the game with her.
I thought she was in that mood of role-playing. However, after I got married, she showed me a different personality.
It made me realize that those things she said about being my Luna Queen and all weren't just words whispered during make out. She meant them.
I know she's causing problems for Jenna to cause a rift between us. She had told me that day when I brought my wife and some home that she would take me back.
But I had warned her, and she looked like she got the point.
'That woman knows you well. She is aware you wouldn't ever hurt her because you are indebted to her.' Denis spat.
"I'm not indebted to her."
'Yes, you are. She was a virgin when you first fúcked her. You felt bad for ruining her and then decided to give her advantages that would make it up to her. But my question is... How long? For how long are you going to let her push you? You're married now Jace. If you don't stop her now, you'll end up without Jenna and Jared.'
An echoing growl rumbled deep from my chest. I seethed at my wolf for using those words.
Jenna isn't going anywhere. We have that understanding. We are not like other couples. We have a deal.
'I thought you had love between you two. When did the deal happen?'
"We'll stay together for Jared. That's the deal. And we love each other because we both are perfect for each other."
'Do you hear yourself, Alpha King Jace! You sound like a businessman. Is that why you are still keeping Liza in the castle... Because you know her presence won't send Jenna leaving since you both agreed to be together for Jared.'
I closed my eyes as I clenched my jaw tight. That's not true. I am not keeping Liza with me because I feel something for her. She doesn't have anywhere to go. Her parents died when she was young. She's my maternal cousin.
My mom has no one left. If she did, I would have sent Liza to them. I'm her only family left. As the Alpha King, if I can't take care of my own cousin then I can't take care of my kingdom.
Besides, I don't feel anything for her. Jenna is the one for me. I love her.
'But what you did five minutes ago, it didn't look like you loved her. It looked like you're protecting your ex-mistress.' Denis remarked.
"I wasn't, okay. Why would I protect her? Maybe I was because sending her to the dungeons for having my photos is not a crime. I also have photos of our destined mate. Does that mean we're lingering over her memories? Hell, no. We never loved her as much as we love Jenna."
'Look Jace,' My wolf huffed. 'I'm not going to argue over this with you. Liza staying in your house with your wife and son is a huge issue already. If you defend her, that makes it worse. You literally challenged Jenna's authorities as a Luna Queen, although you claimed she's free to make decisions without your permission.'
I gulped as my heart throbbed wildly in my chest. I was feeling melancholic. I know why. That's because my chosen mate is crestfallen. I can feel her emotions within me.
Jenna... Swallowing hard, I charged towards our room.
She was feeding Jared when I came. Martha was talking to her— Trying to explain to her how this fight was petty but turned big and that she should not extend it. She got up and exited when she saw me coming.
When Jenna noticed me, she quickly wiped her tears and lifted Jared on her shoulder after adjusting her top.
"Jenna," I kneeled down in front of her.
Touching her knee, I made her look into my eyes. Pain like a thousand spears piercing my heart exploded in my chest. Her pretty eyes were puffy and red, her cheeks pink and her lips trembling.
She was about to look away when I held her cheek and nodded in a no, "Don't look away, love."

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
