Mattias POV

I was shoved forward again. My shoulders collided with the rough pole which was part of the fence, I hadn't even though of nursing the pain when another order came at me. They couldn't care less of what I was before I got here, they didn't treat me different from someone who had been a common man since day one.

Now, all of that was gone. I was just another body to be pushed around, another pair of hands to do the dirty work no one else wanted.

“Pick it up. Don’t just stand there.”

The command carried impatient in it. I obeyed with silent anger. The rain had made earth easy to dig through with my fingers as I carried the pile of sticks as commanded. Even while at it, how I was dirtied and pained both physically and mentally, everything just kept reminding me of my lack of freedom.

I was no longer Mattias, the man who had led with authority. I was just Mattias, the one they laughed at now.

    Alpha Jason’s POVAs I entered the room, she followed behind me. She didn't talk, neither did she try resisting or asking about her fate. She just followed like a lamb with her gaze on lowered to the ground, as if she they gave her answers which I didn't. The room I led her to wasn't to big or too small in size compared to the other rooms in the manor. It was simpler and also has all the necessities she need for the time being. The bed was positioned at the center, with sheets that carried the scent of lavender. With it a chair, table and a curtain as well, covering the moon light outside. I stopped and turned slightly. She didn’t look at me, her grip on her dress tight as she stood statued there, as if I had restricted her from moving a muscle.I did not speak. I didn’t know if I wanted to.
