Chapter 1: A Dangerous Game

 

It's been two years since Dominic adopted Anastasia who used to be a silent girl who lost her parents at the age of eighteen. Now at twenty, she became a rebellious woman with a sharp tongue, frequently picking a fight with Dominic and spending all night with her friends. 

 

Dominic was a businessman famous with his strict rules and discipline, yet, he couldn't tame the little tiger living under his roof. She often comes home late, her breath smelling like alcohol, almost crawling her way up to her room having way too many drinks. And if that isn't enough, Ana often argues with Dominic. 

She was the thirty-eight-year-old man's source of headache, but he reminds himself that she was a poor orphan. Whenever she becomes too much, he reminds himself of the promise he made with Nick, his best friend and Ana's father. 

 

What Dominic doesn't know however is the fact that Ana started to see him in a different way when she turned nineteen. She was no longer looking at him like a savior, the man who accepted her when no one else did. When she learned how to handle her grief, desire for Dominic replaced it. 

And she learned how to play with fire. 

 

It wasn't a simple and innocent admiration towards the older man either. It was a raw, uncontrollable, and overwhelming desire that drowns her. 

Without Dominic knowing, he had become Ana's subject of wet and wild dreams.

One night while Dominic was sleeping peacefully in his room, only wearing a pair of boxers, Ana slowly entered, her steps were lightly to avoid waking up the God-like creature on the bed. She approaches the man of her dreams sleeping without a care in the world. 

The mansion was quiet and only the light from the lampshade beside his bed illuminates the whole room. 

 

 

Ana stared at the man, her breath hitching in her throat at the sight of the man before her. Her lips suddenly went dry, her eyes darkened with lust, her chest moving heavier by the second. Her eyes ran through his handsome face, admiring his sharp jaw, nose and luscious pair of lips. He always had a confident look on his face, but at that moment, he looked so peaceful. 

Her sinful eyes moved down his exposed body, earning a swallow at the sight of it. Her mouth opened, panting to release the heat slowly consuming her whole body. 

Dominic looks so defenseless in front of her as she feasts on his body. 

 

'Tonight, you will look at me and see the woman I've become.' Ana thought as she approached him. 

 

Ana was only wearing a thin shirt without a bra underneath, only in her underwear as she slowly and nervously straddled the man, gasping slightly when she felt the prominent bulge underneath her, making direct contact with her pussy. 

 

Ana's blood rushed to her face at the feeling. Now, there is only her thin underwear and his thin boxers separating them. 

 

As if feeling the weight on his body, Dominic was startled and he woke up with a gasp. He was awoken at the heavy and hot feeling of a body on top of him. 

 

"Anastasia?" He asked, surprised at the sight of his goddaughter on top of him, his voice still thick with sleep. "What the hell are you doing?"

 

Before he could move further however, Ana closed the distance between them, swallowing her nerves, and finally captured the pair of lips she longed to kiss. Her kiss was fast, aggressive, and needy. Can you blame her? She dreamt about this for a long time. 

 

To prepare for this, to not disappoint a man like Dominic who probably kissed so many women, Ana practiced with the guys she met. 

But her fantasy was cut short when Dominic roughly pushed her off him. His face was filled with a mixture of fear and hatred.

 

"Stop it." He ordered her as if she was one of his employees, but then again, he was always like that. Always treating her like she was one of them, like she was still a child, and it frustrated her to no end. 

 

Ana processed what happened first, hurt by Dominic's rejection. She blinked slowly, wondering if she made a mistake. Where did she go wrong? She was so confident that she was doing so well. The guys she kissed all said she was a great kisser so... why? 

 

"Don't you ever do that again, do you hear me?" Dominic hissed in anger, his eyes were sharp, chest heaving with restraint. 

 

Ana picked herself up along with the broken pieces of her ego and heart. She looked at him with hurt and annoyance in her eyes. 

 

Ana didn't bother apologizing. Why? When she wanted it. When she craved it. 

She didn't cry either. She didn't say anything and stormed out of his room. Her steps were hurried, angry at the rejection she received. She felt angry, but she couldn't forget the feeling of his lips and how they were as sweet as she imagined. 

 

 

Dominic, who was left in the dark room, forced himself to calm his beating heart. His heart was beating so fast, but he was unsure if it was because of anger or perhaps something else. 

 

Ana is not a child, but this still isn't right. 

 

 

Both of them were feeling things differently, but both of them also know that things between them won't be the same again from then on. Ana started a game of fire between them, and Dominic must figure out how he will play her game.
