Chapter Forty One: Drawing red with silver
Skye BloomAs the chaos continued to ensue, opposing foes battled each other to death or if not- severe injury. Arthur fought off his family all at once, he is indeed the strongest among them as he managed to pushed his family back. Arthur using his sturdy and large wings flicked off his younger siblings with ease. His fire consumed the entire forest and his father could barely defend against it. His father roared expressing his frustration and disappointment with Arthur. Through telepathy, his father said to him, "You dare disobey your own family for some worthless girl?"  "She's not worthless and she's my girl."  "I already detest that she's JD's bride but now... you?" He continued pushing forward, "I'll just have to kill her myself!"  Arthur scathed his father with his claw as he threatened, "I won't let you. I'll

Chapter Forty Two: Black
Lyanna Stuart Everything turned pitch black like I was falling into the abyss. It was quiet but it was nowhere near peaceful. It was empty. The next thing I know was after I opened my eyes, I was back in my room.  Back in my human room. If that makes sense at all.  My mother and Clarisse dropped by where I was staying- in the house near the forest where my dad originally built our home. My mom brought Clarisse to cheer me up as she went to the kitchen prepping some food. "Have you eaten?" My mother asked  Wearing my oversized hoodie with faint lingering smell of Arthur- the only reminder that their world existed, I curled up in my blanket and replied, "Maybe later." My mother removed my blanket and calmly said, "You were gone for a m

Chapter Forty Three: Monochrome
Lyanna Stuart I met Tate's cold and distant eyes as he looks at me with indifference- thinking about it, it felt more like he was amused. Before he can say anything more, I stood up brushing him off and grabbing the book he threw.  "You're quite a loner, aren't you?"  "If you knew that then just go."  Tate snickered, "And I don't want to?"  "Then I'll go."  I went ahead back home and looking at the huge empty space. There were no trace of Arthur and JD. I muttered to myself, "How cruel. You told me you won't ever leave." Walking past my room, I grabbed some paper and pastels to try and paint. I'm hopelessly trying to fill the void in my heart. I went outside in the late that night with my paper as I tried to paint. I stayed under the cave Arthur used to stay a

Chapter Forty Four: Golden Brown
Lyanna Stuart Tate gently treated my wound and for some reason, with him, I can remember everything clearly. Nothing is vague and I don't feel empty. I don't feel the need to hurt myself just to remember. I can remember but I don't sense any ties to the other world. This way, I can remember everything without the threat of Skye finding me and killing me. His golden brown eyes met my gaze as he said to me, "Do you want to tell me what was that all about? Despite my looks, I can be a pretty good listener." Tate points at his earphone and said, "Mostly because of this, people feel more calm to say what's on their mind." "You... listen to music while listening to their problems?" I snickered  "No." Tate then pulls out the end of his earphone revealing it's cutted portion, he explained, "This one's broken. It always has been but peopl

Chapter Forty Five: Viridian
Lyanna Stuart   The next day, I woke up from a strange dream, I catched my breathe and tried to remember what it was all about. There were image flashing before me. Skye was there, she was trying to kill me but then a black shadow appears... consuming- sucking the soul out of me. I saw glimpse of JD and Arthur calling out my name.   I was standing on top of many dead bodies.   Death on my viridian sleeves and red lips.     What was that all about?     The last time I had a dream like that... it foretold everything about the war. Was this another prophecy? But what it is telling me? Could it be that Arthur's alive? I mean that would nullify my magic's requirement explaining the massive deaths... right?   I shake my head and tried to get it out of my mind. I took a deep breathe and chuckled, "I would do everything just

Chapter Forty Six: Fragments
Lyanna Stuart As sson as the classes ended, I walked my way back to the library. I grabbed the first book I managed to reach and proceeded to the forest per my usual routine. Suddenly, as I was on my way to make a turn, I suddenly dropped the book from the ground as I saw Tate appearing in front of me. I scoffed, "Woah, I didn't see you there. What-"  "What do you think you're doing?" Tate aggresively grabbed my arms, he seemed so pissed off with those glaring eyes, "You're too damn reckless." "What are you talking about? What are you so mad about?" I protested  "You almost got killed earlier! Were you even thinking?"  "Killed? I don't understand." I continued to protest and groaned as he tightens his grip around my wrist. I said, "You're hurting me."  "Or am I now?" Tat

Chapter Forty Six: Mess
Tate Glassglow I had no idea what Lyanna was thinking but she suddenly called out Skye's name so I had no choice but to transform into my original demon form to try and protect her. I must be crazy for doing this! How the hell am I supposed to get that contract now? No human would dare to sign a contract if they knew they were actually selling it to a demon. That's just how it works and now it's all a mess. Skye cracked her neck and stretched her legs, she is provoking me- as if a goblin ever scared a demon. She asked me intentionally to catch me off guard, "Oh ho, you care to much about a feeble human that you'd sacrifice being seen in your original demon form just to protect her? How low you've stoop down, Tate." I glanced back at Lyanna for a while but then Lyanna suddenly rushed towards me to push me to the side as Skye launched an attack. Lyanna fell t

Chapter Forty Seven: Brush strokes
Lyanna Stuart Wrath, Pride, Sloth, Greed, Envy, Gluttony and Lust. Each major demon is assigned to one and their descedants will carry the line of the pure and powerful. I head back to the library and tried to read as many reference there is to demons.  The librarian even gave me the look as he clicks his tongue in disappointment, he remarked as I carried the book on my way back, "Your generation is hopeless." I ignored him. There are far more things to know and sometimes, I envy everyone- not knowing a world where creatures and mythologies exists. If I had forgotten about it completely, I wouldn't be so miserable... but who am I kidding? I won't even let myself forget. While reading about it, I remembered the demons back in Dr. Marle's office, considering that they didn't have the powers described here in the book- it probably

Chapter Forty Eight: A different perspective
Tate Glassglow I went back to the other world- one fo the best things about being a demon is that we are capable of entering and leaving both worlds as we please. Whether you deny it or not, demons exists where evil thoughts manifest us and to be fair, that is in fact everywhere. But we are- to some extent still bound by laws and limitations. All we demons can do is to offer humans a choice, whether they are desperate enough to sell their souls and angels cannot interfere with our business because as their god proclaimed: "Humans are gifted with free will and must act according to their own choices."  Terrible fate but at least they'll have no one to blame but themselves but the funny thing is... humans love to blame everything on us. Let me remind you humans, we are nothing but a manifestation of your own evilness inside so cut the pity party, humans chose this... just as Lyann

Chapter Forty Nine: Silver
Arthur LangdonJD had to help me get back to the hideout to safely hide the fact that I'm alive. The whole nation is put on edge as the dragon clan's eldest died- I am indeed the most powerful and the one the prophecy said so. But knowing my death is what's putting the war on hold- the dragons are mourning as the other creatures are prepping to take back the title of strongest. JD protested, "What the hell were you thinking? If anyone else saw you-"  "But no one did."  "IF they did!" JD continued with a sharp tone, "You're not even strong enough to take care of yourself, if the creatures found out that your death is a lie, they'd challenge our clan and we will be obliterated so don't go wandering off and worrying about someone else when you don't even have the strength to protect yourself."  "That demon- he's Satan's
