Morning came faster than anyone wanted it to. Caine woke up to the beautiful smell of Della's hair. He thought that he was dreaming at first, but when he opened his eyes, she was really there. It was a very welcome surprise, because he had missed her more than it even seemed possible. Della felt him looking at her while she slept, and she opened her eyes slowly. She smiled and blinked a few times,to be sure that it was real. Caine smiled back and he leaned in and kissed her.   Della moaned through the kiss and she melted as she pulled him closer. "Please don't do this," she began to cry softly. "Please don't leave us alone in this world without you," she begged her love. It was almost more than he could bare. "Della don't cry, you know I have no choice. I need for you to understand that I'm doing this for you and the baby. Also, I don't plan on being the dead one at the end of the day," he said as he hugged her as tightly as he could and he kissed her forehead.

  Nightfall would be coming soon. It was time for the gathering. Everyone was finishing their evening meal when the horns began to blow from the courtyard of the castle. People were coming out in droves. Della couldn't believe it. She had no idea that there were so many people on the castle grounds. There were even some people who may not have lived there in attendance as well. It reminded Della of some kind of school yard brawl that everyone wanted to witness, just to be a part of the gossip. Her eyes began to sting with tears again.    She turned to look at Caine one more time as Josh grabbed him by the sleeve, looked him in the eyes and said, "brother you don't have to do this."   Everyone in the queen's presence at that very moment in time felt more ashamed than they ever had felt in their whole lives before.   Pearl paced feverishly in the lab while the doctor and nurse worked on Mister's weak and battered body. He had lost so much blood over the last few days that the doctor was very concerned that it could cause some permanent damage....like death. After a few hours of work and observation, they determined that it was likely that he would live, so they decided to take a break and let him rest for a while.   Pearl wanted to know what had happened after they carried Mister away, so she called the main house at the forest village and asked for Kate and Sadie. She was told that they would be right over, so Pearl ordered some food and she left a message for Justin to come see her when he got free later. It didn't take very long for the maids to show up with the food and the gossip.
