It was very late at night and few cars could be seen on the highway. Captain Marco Vincenzo had his eyes on the side mirrors as he drove back home. Well, he needed to make sure that he wasn’t being followed. The law enforcement officer doubted that the Mafia would come looking for Elena at his house but that didn’t guarantee that they wouldn’t come looking for him.Now he was starting to rethink everything that he had done that night, he had really messed up and that had resulted in the death of many people. After he had dropped Elena off in his house, he had tried to contact his spy on the inside of the Salvatore family, only to find out that the guy had been fished out and was about to be prosecuted. The brother of the soon to be executed had answered the call and promised to end the officer’s life when he set his eyes on him.Well, of all the deaths that had taken place this night, it was the least to bother him. He believed that Luca’s brother de

Captain Marco and Elena arrived at a hotel and drove in. Although it was morning already, it was still dark. It was the earliest hours of the morning, a few minutes past 4am. Marco climbed down from the car and walked over to Elena’s side of the car and opened it; well, he had locked it just to make sure that she didn't escape. She climbed down and sighed as she looked around the hotel; it was beautiful with lights radiating at all corners. She turned to Marco asking what was next and he smiled, and then headed for the entrance.“Come on Elena, hurry up,” he muttered and went ahead of her. Elena not wanting to be left alone ran after him immediately and walked side by side with him.“Have you been here before?’ she asked. He huffed. “No, what does it matter to you?'' he queried.Elena scoffed and didn’t reply to him, she increased her pace and he chuckled. “I wouldn’t walk that fast if I were you. They could

Marco opens the door and walks back into the room; he was glad that Elena had not locked him out like he feared she would. The Captain had gone to get some food in the hotel eatery which was a 24/7 open place luckily for them.Well, they had missed dinner as a result of all the drama and had been on the road for hours, so it was just normal for him to be super famished. He didn’t know about Elena but his stomach wouldn’t stop grumbling.Marco closed the door and looked around in search of Elena but she wasn’t in the room, the place was oddly quiet and that made his mind skip, but not as much as it skipped when he noticed the curtains dividing the room from the balcony were floating in the air. It crossed his mind that someone had been through there.“Elena, are you there?” Marco called but there was no response. He dropped the bag of food and drinks and quickly headed for the balcony. He didn’t want to believe that she had escaped throu

There was a knock on the door and Anna groaned before standing up from the bed. “Who do you think it could be?” she asked Jane, who was busy looking through her wardrobe.“I don’t know, but you should check… at least someone has come knocking on your door after days of being alone, you should go and check it out.” Jane replied with intending sarcasm.Anna huffed and shook her head, her best friend was good at this. She headed for the door immediately. “So you still haven’t decided on which dress I should wear today?” she asked with a chuckle.“Oh, I think you should stay in your pajamas all day like you have been doing since you lost your job,” Jane replied yet again in sarcasm and Anna laughed. At least she had someone to make her smile, even if it wasn’t realShe had refused to close down her blog like Baron White requested and so he had terminated her contract with the company. In other words, he had fired her, hoping t

Luca walks into the hall with a solemn face and meets Antonio there. “Who called for me? I thought the Boss had skipped town,” he asked in a cold voice, he was obviously still mourning his brother who had been executed in a very painful manner the previous night.“I don’t know, I also got the information that my presence was needed here,” Antonio replied and sighed.“I sent for the both of you,” Lorenzo’s voice sounded as he walked into the hall with Mr. Giovanni.Luca frowned the moment he saw the aged man who had condemned his brother to death. “What is this all about? Has Leo also ordered for my own execution?” Luca queried immediately.“Relax Luca, you are only here for the same reason as Antonio. You are both here because you are capos in charge of equal percentages of men and I need your help,” Lorenzo said calmly as he approached them.“Well, Mr. Giovanni is here, so I guess someone is about to get con
