IT HAD been a week since he regained his sanity and now, for the first time since he awoke, he was standing inside the isolation room in the infirmary, staring blankly at Dione's unconscious body. He had been standing there for almost twenty minutes now. The Doctor appeared behind him. "Your Majesty," he bowed. "Prince Dione is in a limbo induced by the poisonous toxins your beast..." WHEN Zayn had sent word about Draekon's recovery a week ago, Vaelora her broken down in tears. Happy ones. Since then, she had not stopped praying and hoping that Draekon would finally send for her to return to Iron Vale. DRAEKON stood at the balcony of his study, watching, or maybe waiting. Waiting for when Andronikos would fly through the cloudy expanse of the sky and return home to him. "Boy, where are you?" He whispered longingly. Just then, Zayn stormed in and headed straight for the balcony. "How could you do this?!!" He yelled in disbelief. "Your tone." Draekon warned icily. "You know what? I don't care!" Zayn spat. "Get mad if you want to, but I wouldn't stand by and watch you ruin yourself because of anger and jealousy! You can't marry Nysera!!" Draekon let out a low huff. "Watch me." BY MORNING, Vaelora was already waiting in Zeno's study, wringing her hands in shy anticipation. She had barely slept the rest of the previous night, thinking of what her next action would be. Things were completely different now, and it all felt surreal. She absentmindedly placed her hand over her flat belly, caressing it. She was pregnant, and it was still quite unbelievable to her. Just then, Zeno made his way in, surprised to find Vaelora there. "Lora." "Zeno, please I need to return to Iron Vale immediately!" She rushed out. VAELORA rushed into her room, sitting on her bed at first, feeling completely disoriented. The tears hadn't stopped falling, and she felt like she was going to die any minute. Her body physically felt weak. Numb. But somehow, she found herself standing from the bed and heading to her window. Looking down, she saw them. She saw Draekon from the distance, and her heart fell. He was really here, to leave her. Such an irony. Suddenly, her brain jerked into action and she swiftly stepped away from the window and headed toward the closet. She hadn't brought anything with her to Vexley Keep, but she had to take as little as she could, because she'd need it to survive the next few days. She quickly took out some clothes from the closet and threw them on the bed. She rushed to the vanity drawer and started taking out the few coins she could find. She was still busy on her new mission, when the door opened and Amaren rushed in.

VAELORA looked at the bedsheet that had been neatly folded and kept in the closet. That was actually the only thing she had brought with her to Vexley Keep, and now that she didn't have to run anymore, she was leaving behind the initial luggage she had packed. She took the sheet out of the closet, slighty irritated when she remembered it was on the same sheet that Dione had defiled her mate bond. "Your Majesty." The maid whom Vaelora had sent for, showed up. "Please take this." Vaelora said, letting the sheets fall to the floor. "Burn it." The maid waited for some more orders, and when one didn't come, she asked. "Would you like anything more, Your Majesty?" "No, that's all." As the maid turned to leave, Amaren was making her way in. IT WAS ANDRONIKOS. Vaelora's heart leaped. Almost immediately, Draekon rushed out, his eyes widening in confirmation when he saw his Dragon. Of course, he knew what Andronikos sounded like any day, any time. But given the few weeks they had been apart from each other for the very first time in their lives, the thought of Andronikos returning seem almost unbelievable to Draekon. Vaelora turned to him and gave a low sigh when she saw the relief in his eyes. "My boy..." Draekon muttered, his eyes not leaving Andronikos' fugure which glided through the air for some more seconds, before finally making a descent. Without thinking, Vaelora made her way to him, her heart dancing with happiness. At seeing her, Andronikos released a tiny cry that could almost be translated as a child's whimper. ZAYN stayed back with Vaelora a little longer, before heading out after she fell back asleep. He headed straight for his chambers, having in mind to just bathe and sleep. But on getting to his chambers, he met Zentrakii still awake, sitting on his bed. The moment she saw him, she swiftly stood up and he found himself frowning. But he said nothing. REBEKAH just finished stitching up a sentinel's sword wound, and gave him a professional pat on the arm. "You're good to go." She smiled. "Thank you, Luna." The man grinned in return, before stepping down the bed and making his way out. She released a low sigh of exhaustion and looked outside the window. The sun was most certainly scorching, and she already felt tired at the thought of strolling under that sun, back to the Alpha's stead for lunch. But then, when she thought about seeing Khol'an, she found herself turning and heading out of the room. She walked through the hallway of the infirmary, waving at patients who were gradually getting used to seeing her around, and the doctors who had been so welcoming and helpful since she resumed her training.
