VAELORA woke up the next morning, her day already feeling so terrible from the start. She hated being in this room, but she wasn't surprised. She didn't expect to automatically go back to sharing a chamber with Draekon upon her return. More than ever, she needed to see him and talk with him. They had to communicate and sort this thing out, because she couldn't take it any more. Suddenly feeling encouraged, she stepped down the bed and made her way into the bath chambers for her hygiene routine. After some time, she stepped out to get dressed. VAELORA stood just in front of Andronikos' lair, contemplating whether or not to step in. Andronikos released a low rumble, before taking large steps in her direction. Almost immediately, she pulled the lock and opened the barred doors protecting the lair, then made her way in, meeting Andronikos halfway. His head reared downward, and Vaelora hugged him, releasing a very long sigh of satisfaction. "Oh, goddess, I've missed you so much." She whispered. It was a chilly evening, so she had a thin shawl wrapped around her. But being in the Dragon's lair now, she felt warmer. Too warm. She took off the shawl and absentmindedly dropped it on the same platform Draekon used to sleep. She made her way back to the dragon. "Andronikos..." She started, looking genuinely grateful and somewhat concerned. "Thank you for protecting me that night." 'You don't have to thank me. It is my duty', his voice filtered through their mind resonance.

BEULAH was still sore over suddenly losing Zayn's attention. They were never a serious item, and only saw each other for the sex. But there was something about a woman suddenly losing the attention of a man who had always been around. Beulah was very convinced that the maid had played a role in it all. TWO DAYS LATER. VAELORA sat still as Rebekah recounted the whole event to her. How they had gotten ambushed on their way to Iron-Vale, and how the very man who raped her years ago, had been a part of the attack. "I felt like I lost my mind for a moment." Rebekah muttered, her eyes far off. Vaelora felt sorry for making her have to retell such a horrible event. "I'm so sorry you had to go through this." Vaelora said softly, taking Rebekah's hand in hers and squeezing supportively. In that moment, she blamed herself. Maybe if she hadn't sent word to Rebekah about the pregnancy and her return to Iron-Vale, Rebekah wouldn't have made that dreadful trip in the first place. "I know what you're thinking." LATER THAT EVENING, they a made their way down for dinner, and Rebekah noticed how tense the atmosphere was. Vaelora had mentioned to her that one of the noble ladies had insulted her and caused a scene during dinner two days ago, and was punished by Alpha Noir. But Rebekah was glad Vaelora wasn't letting anything get to her. She concentrated on her meal and ate. Rebekah noticed she had such great appetite that night, and would have probably finished the meal on her plate, if not for the next drama that unfolded. The dramas? They were really unending! A sentinel had shown up during dinner, clearly looking flustered as he bent to whisper something into Beta Tobias' ear. Tobias looked between Zayn and Alpha Noir, probably mindlinking them. DRAEKON sat alone at the balcony of the Chief Doughan's residence. He and Ambrose had been there for the past two days, after concluding the final part of their investigations regarding the night Chief Doughan's residence was attacked. Apparently, that wasn't the only thing that occured that night. The Chief's residence was the closest to the border, and majority of the sentinels stationed at the border had rushed over there to help during the attack. The few others who had remained to stand guard at the border however, were all... killed. Shockingly. DRAEKON and Ambrose had arrived the Royal House very late that night. It was probably midnight already. As their horses trotted in, Draekon looked over the expanse of the royal estates, and he could swear he saw a very familiar figure walking towards the perimeters of the hunting grounds. Swiftly, he jumped off his horse and Ambrose did same. The sentinels quickly collected the reins of their horses and led them toward the stables. Ambrose started heading toward the foyer, but frowned when he noticed Draekon going the opposite way. "Where are you going?" Ambrose asked in confusion. "Somewhere." Draekon muttered, his face contouring in what seemed like annoyance. Ambrose watched silently as Draekon headed down the royal estates and after a while, he released a tired sigh and headed in, quite eager to be in the arms of his mate.
